My theory:

I think Mayans didn't have enough space for the calendar, that's why they stopped on December 21.  ;)

Actually the right thing about 21 december 2012 goes like this:
(I will write things i remmember)
In some place in their country i dont remmember is it chile or somethin' but its in latin america, archeologists discovered a big tomb underground wich looks like face . At first they tought face was like :O like saying "wow" but then psychologists dsicovered that face is actualy  :mad: like this its ANGRY!.As most of you know mayans was good astrologics they was discovering stars n shit.They knew that on 21 december 2012 the sun will go directly to the angry face and it will make world end.
