Generally underground criminal/black markets. State laws also vary from state to state, so he might have gotten it from a state with lower purchasing laws.

As for the body count, it appears to be 18 children, 8 adults killed now, which is a total of 26, although other sources have said 27 or 28 also.


What amazes me is that there was JUST another shooting 1-2 days ago in Oregon, and a few days ago was the local hostage situation/standoff down the street from me. It's not getting safe out here anymore. I'm actually strongly considering getting a self-defense weapon now.

Well, I'm trained to use them. I've actually considered it for a long time because of this, but now I feel it may be time to get pretty serious about it.


As for the death toll, it's just been confirmed that the shooter killed one of his parents in New Jersey, although unsure which one, prior to going to the school where the larger shooting occurred.

If I moved to the US then one of the first things I would do is purchase a self-defense weapon and educate myself in its correct operation and maintenance.
I would do the same here if guns (for self-defense purposes) were legal.

Still here, the ATF is tracking down the firearm to determine if it was a legally owned, or illegally owned. Regardless gun control is an issue and really, needs to be solved. 18 kids (at least) who have done nothing wrong to anyone, shouldn't have been the victim of a sick bastard.

Also during his speech, he did hint at attempting to reach a "solution" to "prevent this from happening again" and "regardless of politics". Which hopefully hints to something being done.
