Some questions:

If the servers going to be Epoch will there be any rules about attacking peoples vehicles and bases? Since you can build your own bases and have your own lockable vehicles, I'm just not sure wether Epoch is really PVP orientated..

Epoch adds tons of vehicles which are armed variants including attack helicopters. It is very PVP orientated. We will have rules against attacking players in trading areas and about touching vehicles near these areas. Other than that watch yer back ;)

Sounds kind of hard to play then, I mean you could be trying to build your base and have someone shoot you in your face, steal your keys and steal your truck, so I guess the best thing to do is live in Stary and keep your vehicles there.. :)

How many people actually want a wasteland server?

If there is enough interest I may host it on behalf of zSF since wasteland will run on Linux.

Our new website has been published http://zspecialforce.com/. It is a bit new so... be careful its delicate.

We are still working on restoring the forums using the same data and SMF (vanilla forums just suck.. tbh). The WordPress blog will also be available in the coming hours which will contain the updates as to when servers get released.

You can expect a trial wasteland server by this evening (if all goes well of course); we will determine interest based on its activity to see if I'll continue running it. There is currently no plan (or ability) to modify; it will run standard version only.

DayZ Epoch will be running in due time; yes it will be epoch default. This will be MOD version and NOT standalone.

I think you can just own OA and download the Arma demo, that should work with DayZ I think.
