Hey. Got 43 old floppies containing an important archive, they are all intact. If I want to access the data, I must insert them all one by one. One or more of them is unaccessible even though they are intact, how to recover or make a copy of the data on it to my PC or to a DVD? I would like another method than using BadCopy, got the program and I will use it today and write the feedback here. Thanks!

Sure it hasn't been easy since NitrOx's retirement but we will be here to roll the only way we know, our way.

So there are floppies that you are currently able to read? Your floppy drive might be incompatible with the floppy you're trying to read. If the floppy drive isfrom before 1993, and the floppies are from after 1993, then that could be the case, because the older floppy drives can't read 'high capacity' floppies. Try to read them on another computer, if you can.

All those floppies containing an archive are of the same kind so I do not see why it would read only some of them. Also, the drive is pretty new

If, and only if you want, i can try and use my equipment to try and read them. I have access to an archive that contains pretty much every reader available and some forensic bit-imaging tools. I'll upload the data to a private area for you to download.

:alert" Do not even try and do this if the data is somewhat sensitive and not encrypted.

PS. Since you're an Argonath member, i will provide you this help for free  :)

I would say they are sensitive and not encrypted since it's an old archive which contains some documents written by someone with no studies in this domain, I am pretty sure he only wrote them then archived and burnt them to the disquette
