Death sentence or not, it is not up to police to execute his punishment. You are sadly likely right about it ending that way, though.

Edit: They just confirmed the San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputy has died. The second deputy/officer's status is still listed as "injured", but is not actually known.

NBCLA has someone on the phone reporting that he seen officers have been going in and out of the cabin that Dorner was in. ONly person I've heard reporting this. This is getting very interesting.

From the reports, it's a multi-level cabin, and police had entered the upper cabin to clear it. They believe he is in the lower one.

Edit: It appears tear gas has been thrown into one of the cabins.

From the pictures I've seen, it looks to small to be multi-level. Could be wrong, that's just my opinion.
Edit: CHP opening almost all road leading to mountain as direction from SBCSD.

Edit #2: First officer is confirmed dead. Second officer is in surgery and expected to survive.

It's going to be iffy. I've seen incidents like this before where a suspect was holed up in a cabin, and tear gas caught the place on fire. The suspect ended up sneaking out during the fire and Law Enforcement had trouble tracking him until it cleared a bit. We could see something similar here, despite the unlikelihood.

I agree. To be honest, from what i had seen earlier, the picture being shown by CBS does not seem like the cabin they were reporting on earlier. Also just heard he may have escaped............

As I said before, it is not the police's job to provide punishment. They are not judge and jury.

Yes, the cabin they showed earlier and the one they are showing on fire appears to be different. The first cabin had one larger one to the left, and one to the right. With a large clearing near the structures. What i am seeing atm is a single structure in a heavily wooded area.
Edit: NBCLA may have been showing the wrong cabin earlier. That or the shadows are drastically changing the look of the area.
