I'm not assuming, I know North Korea knows launching an attack against any county would render their end. To be honest, they might be able to defend off their own country but if they want to show they are able to do so, they shouldn't be pointing "nuclear" threats at the United States.

The whole ''we will destroy United States'' is oratory. Yet everybody is taking it seriously, getting mad and therefore making North Korea the troll of the decade.

You are going to defend North Korea making threats to a country it stands no chance against?
You as an American are gonna give lectures to them about it. That's simply pathetic.

See what you missed?

The past affects the future. The US government made it their own business to interfere with other countries problems, AND they're still doing it now.

Soldiers are getting killed by home-made bombs by insurgents in Afghanistan, why not spice up the warfare technology a bit?

North Korea warns it will take stronger action unless US hostility ends
The North again raised the diplomatic stakes when its most powerful military body, the National Defence Commission, warned its ballistic missile and nuclear weapons programmes were targeted at the US.

You sure about that?

:ps: That makes me laugh, they'll never be stupid enough to actually attempt to attack the States.

Yeah, I will because it isn't fair to the innocent citizens of that country that will die if they attempt a move against another country. I wouldn't anticipate the United States taking initial action. I'd be more worried about South Korea, China or Japan taking action against them first.

Go ask millions of innocent citizens who died in Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Vietnam, Cuba, Kongo, Afghanistan, Iraq, Korea, Libya, Yugoslavia who died cause you guys were 'worried' about world peace. And this is coming from a citizen of one of those countries who felt your 'worrying'.

Like I've said you(not personally you, yet the USA people) should keep your mouth shut and ashamed when it comes to giving lectures to other countries, specially when it comes to having nuclear programs, that was used only once in the human civilization on civilian citizens, by again you 'worrying' guys from the States.

Nobody will attack North Korea, because it won't work. China can abandon North Korea yes, but attacking it will be useless.
The only way one can put it off the map is by launching nukes just like it happened with Japan in WW2.

If all the stories about the starving populace and collapsing economy are true, then how has the North managed to raise an effective defense force?

The most important part is interacting with others and meeting people from around the world.

It is true, BBC recorded it all whilst on an extremely rare visit in which the N.Korean government allowed them to film, though they threatend to remove them from N.Korea enough..

Probably due to the large amounts of propaganda which the people are inundated with daily to join the army to do better for the country. Plus people feel that they should stay loyal to the leader, which is how it is in most dictatorships.

Yeh exactly, N.Korea's leader feeds his whole country biased and false information, the whole country literally cried when their last leader died, why did they love him so much when he kept them locked up like prisoners of war, which is what the current leader does to them.

Maybe because the world is against them, they turn to their leaders who are the only ones who can help them. That makes sense enough.

Have you been to North Korea? No, you can't really know unless you've been there and lived with these people. Propaganda exists in every country, whoever said press is free and independent was obviously a joker.

He is right though, North Korea is a shithole led in what essentially is a despotic monarchy
