GTA IV trying to kill me

Ever since 3 months ago I haven't been able to start my GTA IV. Ever since then I have been looking for solutions, fixing a problem that was caused by another proble which was caused by another problem being fixed etc. And today I narrowed it down to a WS10 error which I fixed but the game refuses to start, From my task manager I see that the LaunchGTAIV.exe tries to start but then it lays down and dies.
You.... You are my last hoe to complete the mission and finally, finally be able to play around like whatever people that play GTA IV are..
You can save me.

Since this is related to single-player, it'd probably have a better chance of being resolved in the Hardware/Software Support board. This one is technically in the wrong place, since this board is specific to IV:MP and not single-player.

Yes but since no IVMP player will ever look there, I'm sure we'd welcome players with their problems here. IVMP is not a big community and IVMP players often only look at the IVMP board, dedicated fans that is.

Jorens, maybe you can find anything related here: http://www.argonathrpg.eu/index.php?topic=63887.0;wap2. Seems that maybe something of GTA isn't installed yet. Don't have alot of time to look at it now. Reply if you got it working.

That is true, if you would want to make the best out of it, post at both places .

It happened after reinstalling GTA:IV multiple times every time, I have it completely vanilla, I am looking through the multiple suggestions sent to me.
I know that all of us collectively can solve my problem and I thank every single one of you.
My GTA IV now runs vanilla, as it turns out it was mainly me being an idiot, not running the 1.0.7.0 updater as admin, this it didnt install the appropriate DX files.
Runs vanilla now, now ill try installing the MP and see how it goes.
Seems to work properly, thanks guys, don't know what I would do without you.

That wasn't even intentional, I guess it was either a typo or the large amounts of minecraft I've been playing.
