It makes me laugh how many kids automatically think "DDoS" everytime we have a server outage.  Do your research.  You will find that there are many reasons for the Argo SA:MP server going down - it's not always Gandalf's host.  A lot of times it's the ridiculous master server *coughRakNetcough* shutting out certain regions because of internal problems with the backbones that communicate with those areas.

Predicting European game server outages is like predicting the weather.  I never have this problem with my American-hosted game servers, but I know that if Argonath was hosted in America there would be nothing but people whining about high pings...so....meh.

What? Every one of your points other than the American host having higher ping is false.

The issue was caused by a DDOS attack.
RakNet has no control over the server physically, its just a networking engine that powers client-server communication.
RakNet doesn't host the master server for SA:MP
You don't need to be connected the master server for most RakNet powered games to connect a client to a server. It is just that, a list that shows your SA:MP client a list of possible hosts. If you already know the host than that list is useless.
