Monitor goes black on opening applications

Whenever I open a full screen app like GTA SA, or MTA my screen goes black showing the following Monitor Error
Not able to display input. Change resolution to 1440x900.

This started happening when I installed my GPU drivers to overclock it.
Now if I alt tab out, it works fine. But it doesnt display the game. I tried changing the resolution to the one me tioned, but even that doesnt work.

doing the same xD, it just minimized the game. and if you just press the 'maximize' sqaure the the top right. you will have ''full screen''

If you post your specs I could try to define the problem for you.

(most likely the PSU can not provide needed amount of power for overclocking your GPU)

It was working fine. I just installed the drivers to do the overclocking. I did not do it yet.
When i go into a game the resolution changes. And for some reason it isnt compatible with the monitor.
Ans without the nVidea drivers it was fine...,

Since it's complaining about your resolution have you tried deleting the gta_sa.set file and opening the game?

If I were you I'd try reverting to older drivers. As you get an error message of failing to output the right resolution (I presume yours is supposed to be 1920x1080?) it sounds highly like a driver issue.
