This is so weird. How can people be normal around two guys armed with machetes and knives, and even a bypasser taking an interview from them? People were walking around like nothing had happened at all.
If they act terrified it will only escalate the situation and could have caused the men to have paniced and injured other people. Those people on the streets were unarmed, defenceless and have common sense to know not to go up to someone who has a knife and a gun.

The reason it took the police a longer response time is because they had to wait for the armed response units to arrive before the unarmed officers could enter the scene. It's just standard procedure but I still think the police did an excellent job in getting there quickly.

Okay, before the people create something crazy, i was born in London, East London, i have lived here 17 years, i am a full white English boy, i have no religion, but i still believe there is a god, after watching the news and seeing what these men did sickens me,  i cant stop thinking about it, but the media did say they are, Muslim Terrorists, okay, the first thing i want to say is, Muslims are not terrorist, i have many Muslim friends, to many to count, i speak to them openly about these things, about Muslims being classed as "Terrorists" and they always say the same thing, there religion is about peace, these men where not true Muslims, they did this as a revenge attack for there country, they used Allah, as a excuse, (this is what i believe) as being brought up in a country what has the highest amount of Muslims/Islamic etc, people i have never, thought a Muslim to be a "Terrorist". what happened yesterday was sickening the people who did it, need what was done to that poor man done to them, i always praise the soldiers, who protect us day in and day out, so that we can walk down these streets without a care in the world, no one should blame Muslims, and no one should blame the Government, what was done yesterday was done by animals, not humans, my main thoughts go out to the family of the man, and also the members of the public who saw this happen, R.I.P Solider, always a fighter.
The people you talk to are not telling the full truth, or are badly informed.

The attackers had a Nigerian background, and were originally Christians who converted to Islam. This means that they had nothing to do what so ever with Afghanistan other than that the Taliban there formed a Muslim government.
These men were misled and fed extremist information until they snapped. It should be investigated where and how that happened, and the guilty people should be punished.

I don't get it.

There's no-one to blame but the man himself. The man is a simple murderer. The fact he uses the islam as a cover for his deeds doesn't matter.
If the same murderer didn't use the words Allah, Sura'h and Aya' in his speech, it'd be less worse?

What do you expect them to do? The vile creatures had already brutally murdered the poor man, he was dead, would you get mad with 2 psychopaths who just cut up an innocent guy who are also wielding a knives and a gun?

Since WW2..
Spoiler for Hiden:

Why did he even murdered a soldier?
They blame the British army for killing 'innocent' Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Would you think it would be worse if it were a Dutch Buddhist who killed a Moroccan Muslim because of the happenings in Tibet?

The carpet of flowers for Drummer Rigby: Thousands leave floral tributes in the street where the soldier was hacked to death
Thousands of tributes to soldier Lee Rigby have been laid in the Woolwich street where he was killed
Flowers, balloons and flags also line the fence around nearby Woolwich Barracks, in south east London
Area has become a shrine to the soldier where emotional members of the public come to pay respects

I love the picture at the bottom Reece, the poor soldier got killed for wearing a Help For Hero's t-shirt, and there 2 people are wearing that, if that isn't a middle finger to terrorists I don't know what is.

I hate how BBC keeps showing Muslims putting flowers down and then praying, honestly they worship the Quaran which encourages the slaughtering of all non-believers, and how many non-believers are there in the UK? 65million? I don't mind people of Pakistan and other Muslim countries being in the UK, but if they want to come here they should leave their stupid religion behind, we don't want it in our country, and neither does many other countries in Europe.

That's a LOT of flowers. I wonder what the increase in sales of Help for Heroes merchandise was.

It's rather clear what the topic is in regards to, if he didn't realize I doubt he would have mentioned Help for Heroes.
Too bad people will spend hundreds of dollars on flowers and other items yet many won't donate a penny to a foundation.

I know exactly what this topic is about. It was claimed that he was killed whilst wearing a Help for Heroes t-shirt and was also a member of the Armed Forces which the charity Help for Heroes aids injured service personnel and their families. Most people out of respect have bought a Help for Heroes t-shirt or mechanise, which caused the website to crash, I said that I would be interested to see how much this incident has increased donations towards the fantastic work they do to help our Armed Forces.
