It would be fine if it happens sometimes, but this is continuous. Other communities are doing fortunes of money with things like donations, ranks on forum, in-game phone numbers, the opportunity to change your forum name and stuff, while we are sleeping.

Imagine the donators driving Infernuses and the normal players like you and me driving cheap cars ... Flash and such ... and the really rich guy having a Buffalo ... NRG 500? The donator must pay 50 Euros for this ... and what if after he pays them and 1-2 months pass and he gets bored? Kaboom wasted money ...

He does have a point ... But nobody is actually making us stay here . I also hate both the lag and the downtimes but somehow everytime I try starting a new server I miss argonath and return ... I get bored in the other server , but in argonath there are so many things that I want to do that my time isnt enough ... and also the ping sometimes doesnt let me ... I mean I cant be the only one who get angry while being a cop when the suspect lags and you see that he turned left while you have passed the turn ... But I guess thats life

Would you really want kids to gain an advantage over you or other members because they stole their parents credit card to become one of the servers "VIP"'s? On the other hand I guess the only advantage given from a forum rank is a false sense of importance so why not let people pay to receive it.

But that is why Argonath is unique, the humans running the server are acting like humans and actually have a sense of morality.

Maybe you didnt ... ranks on forum : The guy that has a good rank gets it easier to advertise his Family ... Kaboom an awesome family gets from nowhere and the long standing families get down just because you can see the name (argonath family) in every part of the forum or idk ... Everything you said gives advantaged... the only thing that sounds cool is the forum name change but with many rules on it ... I mean somehow the users must now that the forum account names : Kostas exname was [email protected] ... and etc ... and when you press on the search engine for excamble you and you put in the word DuelistKing you get the Kostas says that this was its ex name .... Can you guys stop false information?

1. The current downtime is the result of a DDOS attack. If you do not believe me, you are invited to look at traffic statistics and warnings.
2. The server itself has not crashed for over a week.
3. The lag we know, it has been a long issue that is supposed to improve in RS5 due to a better account structure.
4. We were never attacked by Russians.
5. Whenever a breach occurred it was due to our own failure in safety, we were never truly hacked, some people were careless in leaving things open for others to make use of.

I was thinking the same thing earlier, although there is still the possibility of the server being DDOS'd, Amazon just provides the ability to set up counter measures to prevent any real damage occurring from a DDOS attack. But I'm sure this has been taken in to consideration over the years the server has been running and there are reasons against it (such as costs or legal matters etc).

Amazon Web Service is expensive you pay a hefty fee for bandwith usage, far more than is paid now.

I wouldn't have said it can't be DDOS'd because anything can. It does make it harder to conduct a successful and long-lasting attack however as stated above there is a balance that needs to be considered. Xcasio's server was running on a trial version of AWS.
