Weapon Icon Error

Hey!

Recently I Installed a GTA IV Weapon Pack.

But the Long Barrel Shotgun, came as the Combat Shotgun, and Short Barrel came as the Pushback Shotgun.

So I switched the names. Now, The Weapons Appear Properly, But the Icons don't appear!

Could someone PLEASE Help Me!?

You'll have to change the icon file too. Well if you changed the file name of guns, the icon will ofcouse appear differently.

Switching 'names' will alter the dimensions of the weapon, you need to a TXD Editor and manually switch the model files.

Yeah I read that on the GTAForums. So now I downloaded TXDEditor .

So could you'll tell me the procedure from which file to open etc.

download txdworkshop, open up the txd of the weapon that you want to fix the icon, select the icon, proprieties, change the name in "<nameoftheweapontxd>(example:shotgspa or mp5lng)icon" then change the alpha channel in "<nameoftheweapon>icona".
Everything without the " " and the < >  ,note the A at the end of the word "icon" in the alpha channel.
Then just put your edited txd and the ddf inside gta3.img

ok so, you downloaded this mod, there are 2 weapons if i undestood right, the combat shotgun and the regular shotgun, you want to replace the combat shotgun with the regular shotgun right? if it's right do the following
you renamed the shotgspa.txd and ddf in chromegun.txd and ddf and the chromegun.txd and ddf in shotgspa.txd and ddf
So open up chromegun.txd
select the icon, click on proprieties above, change the name into chromegunicon, change the alphachannel in chromegunicona
With the file that you renamed shotgspa.txd you change the name into shotgspaicon and the alpha channel in shotgspaicona

I dont know then, in my opinion you are doing something wrong.
Tell me step by step what have you done please.

Okay.

I Just looked at the Origninal Files. The Icon etc is correct. But IG, the Gun is wrong.

So I opened the chromegun, checked the "Compress" box (Same thing has been done for all weps, thats why) and added the name for  Aplha (Not there before). Did the same for Shotgspa. So now, gonna test it.

Have you changed both of the names? .dff and .txd? If not, there's your error.

you have to had the name to "name" too, not only the alpha.
In the name without the "a" at the end.
In the alpha with the "a" at the end.
