I have come up with a theory

I read all these posts, and remember a certain post by Gandalf in an idea topic.

I think when you die, you're going to lose all your drugs and like 1k medical fee.

So y'all will be hiding drugs in your house and if you have them, you'll be scared of suspection and death.

Im not sure though, but whatever this thing is, I love it. I hope theres something for cops too. That adrenaline of actually trying to save yourself and not boom boom pew would be amazing. Would love to see people getting scared of guns.

Being bored is one of the things we need to address. Players leave or start to troll/DM because of no longer having a challenge instead of doing good.

In case of a reset we are aware many semi-active and inactive players will not renew their efforts. They will be replaced by new players who might have that energy. Some old players will leave, however I feel that meeting friends is more important as non-existing valuables that as you know have zero RL worth on Argonath.

As for new games, we are active on IV (and have some suggestions for the devs outside of coding)  and will be working on new things as well.
Games may change but as a community we are able to change the games we play.

I believe since so many members of Argonath who have built up their possessions over a few years put this thought forward. You have been playing the same game the same way for how many years? If Argonath does choose to reset everything that will give the opportunity of entire new gangs, mafias, groups and ect to build together to really see which group has most of the control.

I wouldn't mind a reset not because of anything in particular but I believe it would give the entire community a fresh new start may bring RP back to Argonath for groups to reclaim their land if they choose to take the same path as they have done so for past years. Give you the chance to make a mistake you made into a right now you have the experience to build yourself up. I just hope RS5 brings a lot more new opportunities for roleplay because it would be great to see it thrive again.


For those who say if reset is done and they won't continue. Please remember Argonath isn't just any community. We are a family. We always come back for family.

Also currently the amount if civilians (who are not criminal and not law enforcement) is too low, and people should be encouraged to work as civilian.

To reduce killing, the most important is to reduce the idea that killing as many people as you can is 'winning'. Also the idea that groups can endlessly shoot and kill each other without reason (war is not a reason) should be addressed.
On the other hand, group shootouts can be fun and should not be prohibited fully.

However, the emphasis should be put on the 'equality' question, that there is out there. The main discussion is on the 'Heritage list... the right to continue or a way to dictatorship' topic. and I really thing it should be taken into a serious consideration before completely wiping out the properties from their respective owners.

Currently the inequality between new players and veterans is huge.

A veteran might have gotten the property set for 400k with a 300k loan, a new player will have to pay a 1 million buyout + 400k for that property, unless lucky enough to find it left abandoned.
Many of the veterans have lost interest but can not say goodbye to their property. However coming in for 10 minutes once a month does not contribute to the play on the server. It just deprives new players of the chance to obtain them reasonably.

In a case of a reset, veterans and new players have the same opportunities. However due to fairness veterans will get a limited possibility to reclaim their old places. For this however they will have to be active, and will have to pay extra. If they are unable or unwilling to do that, it is only fair the property goes to a new owner.

Seems fine, I actually see RS5 as motivation for me to stay around.
