Russian Mafia - 29/JUN/2017 After the mysterious disappearance of Lawrence Dentico the Russian Mafia has been slowly integrating into Los Santos. Rumours say that one of Dentico's business partners, Maxim "Max" Lazovsky, ex-KGB and FSB officer has taken over the locally ran businesses such as the Club 55 and the restaurant. During the renovation in 2017, the restaurant has been renamed to TCHAIKOVSKY - a traditional Russian restaurant, situated in Rodeo. Recent disappearances in the Los Santos government agencies and public bloodshed with local competing mafias are also linked to the Russians, so they say...

There were some good neighbourhoods though, like the one Charles grew up in. He was born in 1990 as an only child. He grew up with both his parents, though his father wasn't at home that often being a real estate agent throughout whole the United Stated of America. Charles's mother was a lonely woman, she didn't get out of the house much as she was a bit depressed after her husband took his new job as real estate agent. She could't handle the loneliness and every now and then, there was the drip that made the bucket spill. She totally freaked out and started throwing shit around the house. Charles always escaped in his room and started writing about the future. He made plans on how to get rich. They were either by legal ways, or illegal ways. He never actually did anything with the projects, the endless letters on how he would acquire so much money, he could eventually swim in it. He kept them in a big case which he hid under his bed. Charles had a job at the local supermarket. There was this girl working there Jonelle Marston, she was different. She was extremely lazy and never worked hard, but she didn't have to. She kept her job by pleasing the shop owner in lets say, her own way. She earned more than the other employees and people wondered why. Charles found out, but she told him to shut the f**k up, else she'd get him fired. This girl was in the same school as Charles as well. It was graduation year and everyone expected her not to graduate. In school there were no teachers she could sleep with to get her degree, she had to actually work for it. She never attended class, never did any work for school and if she showed up, she caused a scene and got send to the principals office. It was the end of the year, and graduation day came. Jonelle didn't show up at the ceremony which caused a big silence during the whole event. Everyone was loudly clapping for their sons, daughters, nieces, nephews or whatever. Everyone was glad for each other, until. Until suddenly, after the last graduate, the sound of squealing tires and cars with roaring engines overwhelmed the celebration. What should've been the start of a career of many, the best day of their lives, a day full of joy, turned into a catastrophic crime scene full of misery and tears. The day Charles's father was in town, especially for the graduation. He never got to actually enjoy. After that day, the whole town was in shock. It changed Charles and his mother drastically. They got way closer and started to spend more time together. Charles heard his mother was having some financial struggles so he hoped he could help his mother out. He started going through the advertisements in the newspaper for some jobs aside. One advertisement immediately took all of his attention. Flashy letters spelled Montana Incorporated. Charles rang the number and he got send over for a little chat. He didn't exactly know what the job was about, but he figured it was smart to take his letters he been writing the past years with him, they might come in useful. As he got over for the talk, it didn't go as he planned. He got into a huge mansion, in there he got leaded to a big office. As they started talking things got more and more clear that these dudes weren't little boys anymore. They were serious. As Charles noticed that as well, he took out his case and handed over his letters. They started reading the letters, and got excited; these were actually some brilliant and revolutionary ideas that might just work in the current society. They started putting these ideas into reality, and Charles had to be involved as it were his ideas. This went on for a couple months and things worked out pretty good. Charles got a close bond with the Montanas and he got paid really good.

The Ligament.

They worked in little squads of 4 but sometimes less. Charles got put in a squad together with Lawrence, an afro-american man who also wasn't an genuine Montana. Charles and Lawrence were the only ones who got in without being a Montana. They shared thoughts during the jobs and they found out more about each other, they weren't comfortable doing what they were doing. They both went hard for the money. They both wanted to get their own thing going, they enjoyed working for the Montana family for a while, but it was not enough. Get out and then start their own thing, that was the plan. It's easier said than done is what was clear after a while. The Montanas didn't want them gone, they liked their support and they could use 2 fellas who didn't dare to open up. If they opened their mouth and stood up for themselves, they'd probably got their balls cut off, so hey. They both started saving up some cash aside. They wanted to move to a different town, a different state preferably. As time went by they had quite a load of cash, it was more than enough to start their own thing. They just had to find a way how to tell the Montanas they were leaving. Sleepless nights full of thoughts helped them get a solution. One day, when Charles and Lawrence just got a new job, they knew it was the time. Their job was to get to the local marijuana growers, await the buyers and then rob them. That's some smart shit. I mean, they can't go to the cops, at the end they were the ones on their way buying marijuana.  They stood there, robbed two guys. The objective was to get at least 2 thousand dollars, else they couldn't get back. After one guy they already made 2,500 dollars though they had enough time. On their way back to the mansion, they passed Charles's crib, took 2 MP5's and continued their way. They hid the guns under their car seats. They spoke with Papa Montana and they got send home. Although, they wanted out, they wanted today to end this all. They told Papa they couldn't work for him any longer, and he looked understanding. He showed some love towards the two guys standing there all insecure in front of him, he made them feel relieved. They hopped in their car and drove off, all relieved and happy. Suddenly, 2 black Hummers pop up behind them and start following them. Charles was driving as Lawrence took one of the MP5's and started aiming for the tires. Although, they of course also had guns. It was a crazy drive-by/exchange of bullets. It lasted like 10 minutes without them both taking any catastrophic damage, they could still keep driving. Lawrence ran out of bullets so he took Charles's gun. He immediately hit the two front tires of the first car and they lost him. The other car speeded up after he noticed he was alone, he started ramming and attempted to put them off the road. When he came close enough, Lawrence took a shot. Straight through the chauffers head. Still not really aware of what was happening, the two went straight to the airport and took the earliest leaving plane. The plane to Los Santos, San Andreas. As soon as the plane touched the ground a sudden mood change hit them both. They felt way more relieved and they wanted to get things right again. They hired a car and both got a hotel room. After a few days they got to the agreement that they should take some distance from each other, both get their lives right. Charles got himself a nice little crib around East Los Santos where he hung out with the local latinos. They were all into criminal shit, but he promised himself he wasn't going that way again. He helped them out by fixing cars, painting their houses and all those little chores. Slowly he got his name around the hood and he got some respect. They all saw him as the conscious and wise man who worked hard to get around, but still didn't get persuaded by the money all his neighbors acquired through hustling and more shit Charles put behind. Besides doing all the chores, Charles was found in the local Gym a lot. He tried to go every day, and become Los Santos' The Rock. He made quite an impression walking in a store, all those muscles. He wanted to use that skill for something good. He could only think of bad ways of how to use his strength until one day he drove passed Persing Square and saw all the police men taking a break. Those weren't the filthy f**ks he thought they were, they could actually be nice people. Charles observed them for a while and noticed they hung around a local bar  near the Police Department. Charles joined them one day and started having a chat with one of them. He told them about moving to Los Santos recently and wanting a proper job. They told him to apply as a Police Officer. After a few doubtful nights he  applied, got accepted and started a bright career as police officer. He never had contact with Lawrence.

After they split, Lawrence went a complete different way. He was the one who kept quite some cash with him. He didn't want to start all the way from the bottom again like his past. His youth was rough, real rough. It was the year 1983 when Lawrence was born on Cuba Island. He was alone with his mother and his older brother, their father left his mother at the birth of his brother. They didn't have much, matter of fact, they had nothing. Mother lived of royalty checks and the family lived month by month. Lawrence did go to school, that was his only joy. He hung around school as much as he could, and got a good bond with his maths teacher. Maths was his worst subject so he arranged some extra classes with his teacher. He was around 7 by the time, a harmless little fella who wanted to study some extra maths. The teacher took advantage of his harmlessness. That event, that moment, those 23 minutes changed the rest of his life. At the time it occurred, Lawrence didn't really know what was going on. Now, as a couple years passed, every time he thinks about it, rage builds up. He never let it go, but inside it's a boiling pot of anger. His teacher moved out of town a week after the event. Lawrence couldn't go to school without thinking about the event. When Lawrence was 12 years old, there was an exchange program at his school with America. America was the dream. Lawrence only heard positive stories about America, how everyone could make it there. He signed up for the program and couple months later he exchanged with Miami. When he arrived in Miami it was all good. Life looked way more promising than it did on Cuba Island. He immediately made some nice friends, slept at a nice family and went to a proper school. He got a real good bond with the family as well, he told them about his youth, event about the life-changing event. They were in a complete shock and didn't want him to go back ever again, same was for Lawrence. He wanted to stay in Miami, so he did. He left his family in Cuba Island and moved in with the family for good. He started saving up some money for college, as that was one of his dreams. School was different in here though, specially for him as a black male. They expected him to listen to Hip-Hop, play basketball and only roll with the other black folks. That's not what Lawrence was about, he was completely different. He was a guy who could win everyone's trust, a guy who everyone wanted to hang out with. There are those people who don't do shit to keep friendships up, but they still got them going on. That's Lawrence. Same for him with girls, they just offered themselves to him, without him having to do a thing. College wasn't his favorite part, it was hard for him that everyone was so different and he was seen as an outsider. The other thing he noticed while he was in Miami for a while, was the bad state the city was in. Every day when he walked home from school, he saw people jacking other people's telephones, purses, wallets and more, it wasn't weird anymore. When he turned the TV on, he saw a news report with yet another homicide, yet another armed robbery, yet another mafia boss taken down. The city was ran by the mafia. As a young fella you might not notice  it, but as soon as Lawrence grew a bit older he noticed, oh yes he did. He got offered drugs every other day by the same guy, because he bought some loud this one time. It wasn't that it didn't come to mind to join them, he just didn't want to disappoint the family he stayed at. The soon as he turned 18, he said goodbye to the family and bought his own crib. That's when he really started to notice the mafia was everywhere. They wanted him in, and Lawrence noticed that. He always got followed and he always got away, that's why they wanted him so badly. He promised himself they weren't going to get him, so he had to move. He had to breathe some fresh  air, see some new people. That's when he went to Vice City, got himself a little crib and there as well he immediately noticed a big family's power. The Montana family, you saw it throughout the whole city and everyone knew they're not good news. They were bad guys, but they got away with all their acts. When Lawrence was about to buy a crib and they noticed he had quite a load of cash, they knew they needed him. They called him in for a job interview, hired him and put him in the squad together with Charles. He bought a nice little crib around Commerce and check his options. Riding around in his Premier every day, he was looking for buildings he could move into. He spotted a nice building near his house, a bar. It was an old bar which looked like it wasn't used for years. As Lawrence went to the city hall and asked whose building it was, he got lucky. The owner passed away years ago, so technically the building was unowned. He only had to pay the Los Santos government some administration costs, then the building was owned by Lawrence. Then the new mission started, he had to get the whole building renovated on his own. He was in there all day, every day, fixing the place up. Slowly but steady it started to turn into a real bar. He still didn't make any contracts about beverages, food or employees whatsoever. He started calling around for some employees and real soon he had a chef, one dishwashing teen and two big breasted hot waitresses. Now what Lawrence wanted, he wanted to his bar to differ from others, he wanted to be unique. After two weeks with the bar opened Lawrence started making his own liquor. It was a strange mix of Hennessy, Ciroc and some secret ingredients which made it taste real sweet yet it had a unique but strong flavor. The drink started to get known around the city and the bar slowly got more known. Lawrence started selling the liquor in bottles at his bar, which ran real good. Local teenagers tried to buy the drink in his store, they saw the drink in their local rappers' videos and now they wanted the same. Lawrence did nothing but laugh when he heard his name in a song in the same sentence with liquor, hennessy, drugs, bad girles and money.

Meanwhile Charles was tired of the police work, he decided to quit. He still hung out with his colleagues after the shifts at the bar. They always went to the same bar, until one day Charles wanted to go to the new bar everyone was talking about. They met there and went in. When they walked in it immediately felt life-changing. Charles observed the store and one guy took his attention, the bartender. The bartender noticed Charles staring and suddenly they had eye contact for around 30 seconds, then suddenly the lamp started to glow above their heads. Charles shouted "Lawrence you crazy f**k, where the hell have you been?". Ever since that day, they stayed in touch and met in the bar every single day. They wanted to get back together, roll like the old days again! Lawrence was making some serious cash with the bar so they had some cash to spend on their plans. They bought a nice little office where they started creating ideas and Charles drove around town observing every single bit, and every single person while Lawrence was in the bar working hard. The first jobs started getting in shape and it was time for some action. Their first act were some simple carjacks. They jacked a few cars and sold them to one guy who brought his trailer where they could stuff them all in. After that, things started flowing. The office turned into an illegal underground casino which was stuffed every day with lads and gals wasting their cash on the partners in crime.

When people think about international trade and transactions they think about multinational corporations conducting legitimate business in commodities such as cars, oil, electronics, textiles. But there are those who do not wish to belong to multinational corporations and wish to take care business on a more personal level. Dentico family was officially introduced in June, 2007. When Lawrence Dentico came into the Argonath country with nothing more than 200 dollars in his pocket. His vision was clear, just like the rest of them had. To live the Argonath dream, have a fridge, a Ford vehicle and a place to sleep. At the age of twenty at the time, Lawrence started off as a mechanic around the Idlewood area. He was soon discovered by a local racing team which participated in the International Racing League now called Argonath Rally Championship.    The Dentico family compound is located at Vinewood drive #1230 and their sphere of influence consists of the western and southern region of Los Santos, San Andreas. The main source of income for the Deveraux family comes from gambling activities such as bookmaking, organizing off-shore gambling tours, and running high stakes casinos and card games. They are also heavily involved in logistics (e.g. trucking) and Los Santos nightlife organizational side and of course overseas investments. According to a 2009 police estimate, the Dentico family also ran 14 legitimate businesses, such as construction and entertainment companies, bars, cabarets, golf courses, and restaurants.    The Dentico family quietly helped to provide relief in the wake of the 2011 Palomino Creek earthquake and tsunami by sending supplies to affected areas. As a whole, the group shipped over 100 tons of supplies, including instant ramen, bean sprouts, paper diapers, batteries, flashlights, tea and drinking water, to the Red County region.In conclusion, despite legal sanctions, police crackdowns, and scandal revelations, the Deveraux family still influence the San Andreas society, economy, and politics, and they have adapted their methods of operations and structure in order to thrive. More ominously for the rest of the world, they have also expanded their operations in Argonath. The Dentico Family has taken over a tradition from the Japanese which is considered to bring trust, loyalty and strength amongst the family members.    The new recruits are initiated into the family group through a ceremony, that involves the exchange of sake cups with the family leader in the presence of a third person. Furthermore, the recruit takes an oath of alliance, to verify his trustworthiness. Finally, the initiate swears to obey the basic tenets of the family: "(1) Never reveal the secrets of the family; (2) Never violate the wife or children of another member; (3) No personal involvement with narcotics; (4) Do not withhold any infromation from the family; (5) Do not commit any crimes; and (6) Do not betray a family member; The new family applicants will normally spend the next two to three months as apprentices. Durin the apprentice stage, they will perform tasks such as cooking, cleaning, answering telephones, serving guests and chauffeuring.    The sake ceremony is used to initiate new recruits and symbolize blood connections; to represent entry into the family relationship. Rice, fish, salt, and sake are placed in the shrine alcove when the ceremony begins. The family head first drinks and then turns his cup to the apprentice. The apprentice who is being admitted into the family drinks from the same cup. The family counselor warns of the solemn duties of the apprentice:   "As long as you carry this cup, you must be loyal to the family and serve your elder with filial piety. Even if your wife and children starve, you must work for elder and the family at the risk of your life. Your duty now is to live with this relationship for life. Consider the elder as your eternal father. Do not fear water or fire, and volunteer to undertake every difficult task."
