hello all friends of Argonath,
as some of you may know, Rally driving is a ver y big sport, and has grown popular over recent years with millions of supporters, the world rally championship this year, is to be held in my country- Ireland(people say Northern Ireland but thats a political thing, don't want to get into it but i don't believe in 'northern Ireland') anyway, it is to be held in our biggest parliamentary building- Stormont. there will be an estimated 20000 people sitting there live at Stormont, and get this, ceremony will be live in 42 countrys around the world at the time, later on that night it has to be broadcasted by 172 country's over the world, it has been estimated that 150 million people will watch this ceremony on television.my role in this is as such, there will be a group of musicians opening the cermony, these musicians consist of
1. a women playing a Harp
2. an irish traditional music group
3. Me
4. a Brazilian group playing the drums (percussion)
these 4 groups have 4 minutes to play, in all about 45 seconds each.
this means that on Thursday the 15th of November 2007, i will play in front of 150 million people, (20,000 people live) and i will be broadcasted over 172 country's (42 live).
i hope to all my friends on Argonath, you will tune in to watch me play
:ps: if you guys didn't know, i play the bagpipes, i will be wearing a uniform on the night consisting of a green kilt and a maroon jacket ( i can see that some people may laugh but dont, this is my culture, and i take it personal)
in England, i will be on BBC 1 OR 2, Ireland- RTE, and the rest of Europe i will be broadcasted on 'Eurosport'.
btw, today i met the world rally champion' Sebastian Loabe' from Holland and the world rally subaru team
it will be broadcasted on countrys like germany,holland,italy,england,france etc all over the world!!!!! WATCH OUT FOR ME!!
