I see you've no clue what the vision is. (http://www.argonathrpg.eu/index.php?topic=38482.0)
What exactly is wrong with this script in Argonath Vision?

They exactly denied this same idea, yet implemented it. Also, it forces us to play as criminals, what if I don't want to be one?
6. Argonath players are, regardless of point 5, free to implement within their group or play guidelines and habits of playing. However they are not allowed to force people outside their group to use the same rules, resort to flaming, insulting, or trying to excluse players who do not play by non-official group rules.

Let's stick to the topic cowboys.
''You cannot go on police duty with your current criminal score.'''
This will prevent persons that have just been suspected to return on duty immediately because (logically) of their criminal score, since they have just been unsuspected/killed/detained.
I will give a random scenario:
player 1 has been suspected by player 2 for terrorism.
player 2 and player 3 (both officers) chase player 1.
player 1 surrendered.
player 2 has jailed player 1 for 180 seconds.
player 1 has been released from jail.
player 1 is now on duty.
I really do not agree with this, looks extremely wrong and the logic is missing - top criminal that has committed acts of terrorism and killed ''n'' players gets jailed and after he is released goes on duty to ''Serve and Protect!''But of course, this is only my opinion..

Argonath doesn't focus on realism, plus, I have yet to see a successful "terrorist rp".
-
What you quoted has nothing to do with this, it's to do with groups & clans, [WS], NBA etc. Argonath Vision has absolutely nothing against this script. Gandalf created Vision, Gandalf approved the idea, he should know better.
It doesn't force you to play as criminals, silly. You're forgetting this isn't a CnR server, and there's more things to do than a criminal or a cop. And if you really want to be a cop, go to another cop, tell him about your past crimes and tell him you want to surrender and face the punishment for them, 'cause now you want to be a lawful citizen who's allowed to be the hand of the law.

Off-topic but, please choose a different font and don't bold all your text!
On-Topic, there seems to be no problem with this new criminal score system. If you intend to go on duty after being a criminal, let go of your crimes and surrender, get jailed and go on duty after you are released from it.

Am I correct with this or?
ethan got suspected for being a gigolo.
ethan finally manages to escape from the police.
ethan wants to go on duty, but his criminal score prevents him to go on duty.
ethan needs to get suspected again so he can /gu.
ethan is forced to copbait/cophunt to get suspected, so he can surrender.
ethan gets out from jail and goes on duty. :war:

He is right ... Isn't that like a bit Copbait?

The idea is not at all against the vision, as it applies to all players.
Now what exactly is your criminal score? It is something that shows how many people you have killed since you last gave up.
Now if you have just been on a killing spree or in a mass fight, it is very likely that you wish to go on duty to extract some revenge on others.
Also for some going on duty is a way to hide their love of DM.
So by disallowing we enforce not just the no revenge rule, but also try to teach that it is more beneficial to be a criminal that honours life of others.

I like the idea. Too many people are far too intent on killing everyone over everything. Every roleplay seems like it must end in either life or death...

No, Ethan politely walks up to a policeman and tells him that he's a wanted felon who was pissing in the street earlier, but avoided arrest. You tell him that you have a guilty conscience and wish to give up. The police man shall then decide what your punishment for these crimes be, and might lower it due to you handing yourself in.
:) See, you get some roleplay out of it.

I was disallowed to go on police duty after escaping evasion, no murder was involved. So I guess that it's another bugged script?

Hint: the vision is not a rulebook.

Alright to be honest,
It is a good idea but it aint working.
I played 30 min, and 3 people were PMing me to jail them.
3 People in 30 mins, that's 1 people per 10 mins.
I asked them why? They said: Because i want to be a cop and i have a criminal score.
I can't suspect them without a reason, they broke the law to be a cop.
Weird sentence right? They have to break the law to become a cop.
It's a very good idea, it just aint working if every 10 mins there is a guy that comes asking to suspect him.

I'm sure there will be adjustments either within SAPD and/or Constitution itself to make it legal to suspect for previous crimes IF the person is handing himself in. I've been doing that all the time, and no one's said anything about it. /su 0 Wants to pay for his previous crimes or w/e. Or better yet, find out what crime they did and suspect for that and jail them accordingly, ie, if they escaped for murder, I'd jail for 150 or smth, contributing the lower sentence to them handing themselves in.
Would love a formal response from SAPD team in regards to this though.
-
Police officers should be allowed to remove the criminal score using their MDC. That should solve it.
