Project: ARISE, or the Argonath RPG Initiative to Sponsor Events, is a volunteer initiative with a two-fold main purpose:
to organize regular server events, and to contribute to the activity and improvement of the Argonath SA:MP community.

Project: ARISE recognizes the current situation where plenty areas of the Argonath SA:MP community are in need of improvement. Therefore, it aims to contribute in the form of regularly spearheading events. These events do not only add more ways for players to have fun, but also allow winners to earn decent prizes, increasing the availability of methods through which players can progress financially on the server. While all players are allowed to organize events (with or without prizes) on the server, Project: ARISE is an initiative where event hosting is a dedicated role.
To achieve this objective, project volunteers raise their own funds to be used for organizing the events, with an average of $5000-$10,000 (or higher) for the winner. While doing so, these volunteers not only serve as active players and helpers, but may also contribute other means of improving the community, as well as being examples for others who wish to enjoy it.

Project: ARISE is open to all Argonath RPG players who meet the following conditions:
1. Willing to work as a VOLUNTEER (read: no pay); our reward is the fun of the players and the thanks we get for our service. This includes raising money to contribute to the Event Fund.
2. Knowledgable about and compliant with Argonath RPG rules and directives from administration, as well as patient and willing to help others.
3. Readiness to adhere to schedules and deadlines.
4. Regularly active ingame and checks the forum often, as well as Skype.
5. Ready to submit regular reports after events, detailing the events and its finances.
6. Trustworthy and reliable, especially with financial matters.
7. Ready to work in a team, which includes coordinating with fellow volunteers, and ready to take instruction from project leaders.

Want to contribute to Project: ARISE even without joining? You can donate to our Event Funds account whether as a registered donor (send me a PM containing a screenshot and the amount donated), or as an anonymous donor.
All transactions will be posted along with (links to) our financial reports in the second post, along with updates and transaction logs.
Donations to our Events Fund can be sent from any bank (/banks) through wire transfer to Account number #1266.
While wire transfers are being fixed, you can donate to us through the following process:
1. Find any Project: ARISE member and send them your donations.

Louise added to the list as a volunteer. Four more volunteer candidates remain having their interviews pending.
As we are currently consolidating our membership and finances, we will be focusing on more common events in the meantime so as to avoid budgetary constraints. Once our finances stabilize, expect the types of events we host to become more varied.
At the end of this week, we will be hosting our first two events on Friday (Feb. 21) and Saturday (Feb. 22), both at 20:00 CET. The type and venue of the events will be announced ingame.
Both will have prizes of $7500, $3500, and $1500 for the Winner, 2nd Place, and 3rd Place, respectively.

Due to network problems in the area beyond my control (the technicians finally fixed it an hour late), I could not make it for today's event.

Another few updates:
1. We will be hosting another event towards the end of this week. After that, I will make arrangements so that volunteers can host more events on their own (as all events to date have been spearheaded by me) and that the amount of the events (and hopefully, the prizes) will increase.
2. /group ProjectARISE is now available for our in-game description!
3. Donation info updated due to the currently bugged wire transfer script, you can see it at the end of the first post.

1 month, 4 event types, 7 events hosted, 11 volunteers, 21 winners, and $143,500 in prizes later, we would like to extend our deepest thanks to the Argonath SA:MP playerbase and the administration for your continued patronage and assistance. A few updates:
1. iKhmTheCow_Kolta (Team Leader) and Dimos_Callaghan / Shaun. (Volunteer) are Project: ARISE's Hardest Working Volunteers for April 2014.
2. Our Event Records (http://projectarise.smfnew2.com/event-records/) board is now viewable by guests. Previously, this was not possible due to an oversight on my part when creating the forum.
3. Starting with our next Event Post (Event 17's records, which are already on the way), our images will be saved in a different format to avoid loss of quality. If the poor quality persists, I will be uploading images to a different image host altogether.

Project: ARISE is open to all Argonath RPG players who meet the following conditions:
1. Willing to work as a VOLUNTEER (read: no pay); our reward is the fun of the players and the thanks we get for our service. This includes raising money to contribute to the Event Fund.
2. Knowledgable about and compliant with Argonath RPG rules and directives from administration, as well as patient and willing to help others.
3. Readiness to adhere to schedules and deadlines.
4. Regularly active ingame and checks the forum often, as well as Skype.
