Rushing to send in an application won't help you but do more harm.
good luck to all

Good luck, everyone. ;)
Good luck to all the potential applicants and future moderators.
Would the date make an application any different? I personally would write the same things in like 2 weeks. :neutral2:
Is there a way to see our applications?
It will be a good lesson for the ones who rushed it. :PI just applied in first day and first hours, but I know what I answered exactly and I feel ok about it, it took almost an hour to post it tho' :p
everyone rushed to apply :(
Well I have had the same feeling, but look at this:
:neutral2:
If you have 3 weeks to do it, it means you could have used this time to think about it and about all the different scenarios possible.
That's what we expect at least, some people just threw one sentence at every questions, it clearly show a lack of effort.
We want people to show us their best and to stand out of the crowd and make us think "This guy got potential!"
Well, the more time you take to think about it before writting, the more situations you will cover and the better it will be.
So you add more quality in your application. That's my view on it, I'm speaking from a personal experience, that's all. Not all HQ may share the same idea :D
I remember when Managers applications opened, it was with few questions (obviously harder as it was meant for a higher position) and I thought about it for a week at least before starting reading, and it took me around 5 word pages.
Same as Devin and here we are.
Of course you don't have to write 5 pages but please give us something to read that make us excited!
Monsieur,
Some clearly do have potential!
Might be playing devils advocate here but If the application process is meant to help Managers skip the job of training the mods then that's no good =O.
Actual on the job work and training could prove to be far superior than what is written in their application.
People learn from their mistakes and if those mistakes are allowed to happen then they'll get better - so long as there is a specific person to lead them (rather than just going alone or "we've accepted you now, and you should be able to do it yourself").
I'm not saying I know how SAMP HQ trains its mods, but I was an Admin Leader in ParUni and lead and trained several managers, moderators, admins there, some of which surpassed me when I went inactive from ParUni!
A person with sweet words could be a complete honey trap when it comes down to the actual job and despite writing a novel would really and truly know zilch, and you can not usually get an answer to everything from a book!
Is there for example a dedicated Manager or Managers who train Moderators? (Is there a HR Department of sorts ?).
The behaviour of some and the mindsets of some may be reserved about what they post, simply because they do not know if what they say is what is needed. Some will not be willing to say what they want because they may feel it would badly effect them, this may be silly superstition or it may be the case!!
Give a person a closed question and he will usually answer it with what you're looking for.
Give a person an open question and he will answer it, but the answer may not be what the questioner is looking for.
The above would be let's say... £3500 worth of Management education (2/3 Units/Modules of Business Management) .
It may not be the case that simply because someone posted an application on day one, that he didn't give a f**k / rushed it.
Kind regards,
Monte.
So what, can I re-post my application then? I will give you something to read =).
Just make sure you have enough coffee beans when you do receive it!

Ye I agree. the more time you spend on your application, the more chance you will get.
But we cant say all those applications which are posted in first few hours/days are from "rushers aka power hungry guys" only, and you can't find good applications from them.
It was kinda new way of SAMP moderator applications tho'
Yes it's a new way because there is no point to have 50 applications wtih all the same answer: "I want to help and protect the server".I might not always agree with HQ, but this application process is well thought out and will give you good insights in the applicants.
It's very boring and doesn't really give us an insight on how you think and stuff

I'm sure everyone answered/ended their questions by saying that I want to help players, Even I did. But, Remember, If you're going to get accepted, you're going to get a chance to check out rulebreakers, not to get a bigger chance for helping new players because Everyone have the RIGHT to help newcomers.it's more about the situations you are coming in, you have to take difficult conclusions, being an admin doesn't mean you only have to help new players.

Admin duty is not to get rights to ban someone. It's a big deal.
If you are interested in joining and haven't applied yet, it's time to do it, we are closing applications in two days!
Will we get an answer about our application, or did you even get mine - I have no clue
Applications will close on 8th March, 2015.I ain't applying, but the link to the form ain't working :gand:

There are 85 applications (for now) to read, comment and study so it will take few weeks before we announce the new moderators.Surprisingly less applicants than I thought it would be.
Surprisingly less applicants than I thought it would be.I'm sure it's more than enough to pick out some decent ones.
Good luck everyone :)
