And now that they stopped GTA:MP from going ahead, GTA V has nothing going for it, so glad I never bought it for PC. :D

It's all a bit meh, sure the huge map is fun to explore at first, but that's about it.

I might, is IV:MP stable yet? I have the game but the last time I joined, a couple years ago probably, I kept crashing every 5 minutes... That's what made me stop playing.

It's not crashy as it used to be for you but T3 is the lastest official release considered "stable", sometimes it may crash too much but if you are lucky enough you will play 2-3 hours without crashing :D
However keep in mind that IVMP will drop your framerate badly for no reason occasionally (a relog fixes it), just in case you want to give it a shot :P

Well, its not much better now, but some guy is trying to get us a stable client (http://www.argonathrpg.eu/index.php?topic=115201.0) after all.

Just don't mind those crashes.

There is a difference between watching porn and watching movies, or watching action and watching drama, but at least, you are WATCHING. and there is always a difference between playing a game have high graphics, nice gameplay etc... it doesn't have a freeroam server, just moving you to a random freeroam with a random players you can't even chat public, (you can chat on phone but okay.) and between a game that allows you to go over multiple players, and communicate more easily and get so close to each player you play with. but at least you're PLAYING for example SA:MP nor IV:MP etc...
On my opinion GTA IV still nice and also have 3 episodes, and 3 of them is still awesome. And the girlfriend idea, well, maybe you haven't ever play the game and discover the story of Nikko Belic, the communication with his girlfriend he had, gave the players more experience about his life etc... you may not agree with me or other players too.
Maybe you got your own opinion on that one, I will keep my opinion to my self about this game.

And it had a good story. But that is pretty much it. Face it - Liberty City is a small map, that gets dull and boring after a while (not to say V's Los Santos isn't either. It's a big space that is really mostly dull forests and swamps). The story is good, yes, but the missions themselves? Awful. GTA IV missions can be summarised as "Drive there, kill that. Trigger another mission, drive there, kill that. Repeat" with an occasional bigger shootout thrown in. GTA V at least had mission variety and returned to the "It's so stupid and unrealistic that it's fun" type of mission scenarios that were seen in III, VC and SA.

So yea, apart from the story and the physics, GTA IV isn't better at V, at all.

And the reason you don't have GTA V is not because "GTA IV is better". IT's because your computer either can't run it, or you can't afford it. I have GTA V in my Steam, I enjoyed it quite a bit even after beating the storyline. It's simply that I switched computers and my current uni laptop can't run it properly :hah:

Ofcourse I regret it, because:
1) I do not get to play it anyways since I changed my computer to an incapable one
2) FiveM are an exception that is at risk of a legal action
3) Rockstar has actively issued legal cease and desist threats to several promising multiplayer modifications that were forced to shut down as a result.

I do not see how an external client makes someones experience online inferrior. They simply hate the fact their shitty multiplayer is being challenged.

Does that opinion make me think that GTA V is worse than GTA IV? No.

In other words, you should, as usual, stop talking smack when you've no idea what you are talking about.

Remember that piracy is not allowed in Argonath. So just buy GTA IV or GTA V, whatever you want to buy.

If you want to buy GTA IV and play online, make sure to buy the expansion pack (Episodes from Liberty City) and check iv-mp.eu after for the client.
