Training. We all know people do it and this post is sort of an annoucement that disallows it.
Civilians are not allowed to "train" at all, if you want to train you can find a DM server to suit your needs.
Cops are also not allowed to train in public, but in case they need to (sessions, SWAT training, etc) they need to go to Fort Baxter and train there. Any kills made will net an automated warn as well as possible additional warning from the administrators.
Any "training" done outside of Fort Baxter will be considered deathmatching and will be punished accordingly.
EDIT: Rule added as a written rule

Just to clarify, non session "training" at Fort Baxter is allowed or not?
-
Any training that is not related to VCPD Academies is disallowed.
-
Drive-bying from and to bikes has been disallowed.
Using colors in the chat is now listed as an official rule.
-
Why should i train :/
-
i can never find the fort can someone tell me where it is from the airport

should mention the new driveby rules here as well, since I doubt anyone read the edited rules yet

Using colors in the chat is now listed as an official rule.
Why not remove the chat color script then? why keep it when its disallowed to use it..
-
You can't , it's something in vcmp itself.
-
i thought drivebying was disallowed altogether
-
it's disallowed for ads ?
-
Why not remove the chat color script then? why keep it when its disallowed to use it..
Colour codes in the chat messages is hardcoded into VC:MP 0.4 and it can't be disabled by server settings other than having a dedicated script to remove/replace (ie regular expression/regex) the colour hex codes in the messages before allowing it to be sent to other players.
-
Hoping to see a clarification on the returning after death policy as well as it's quite vague and I did not know it was interpreted the way it is, until yesterday.

Just a reminder, the use of drive-by is not completely prohibited. Vehicle to Vehicle drive-by is still allowed as long as neither vehicle is a motorbike.
-
It's clear, noted.

Gangwars.
These will no longer happen without administrative supervisor who can keep people from going all ballistic, however this is a temporary solution until the players can play fair and without breaking the rules.
As stated in the end of the rules page; Rules may never be strecthed in the name of roleplay and must be upheld at all times.
-
Returning to pick cases after death is now considered returning from death and will result in administrative action being taken against you.
-
Good addition.
-
Good addition.
I suppose it was necessary in order to prevent certain issues
-
Second part sounds good but I doubt the first one will work
-

I was actually impressed you opted NOT to take them the other day while you hadn't even died yet. :D
-
If you die as a civilian you are no longer allowed to return as a cop to revenge-kill. This now falls under returning after death and revenge-kill rule.
EDIT: Wording it better:
Players can no longer return to a roleplay scenario as a cop if they previously died in it as a civilian or a criminal
-
Finally!
-
Reminder: this only means that civs/crims who for example, died on a smuggle, can't return to same smuggle as cops to revenge-kill. Cops can still return after death as before.

Someone, somewhere is angry :D
-
Changing over to cop role to trigger a mini-mission with intention of leaving the cop duty to take part in the mission to get the rewards is now considered "abuse" of script limitations.
This means that anyone caught doing it will be handled same way as script abusers or money cheaters :)
-
That's just shit considering no ones playing as cop on the server anymore.
-
BS and BS...
-
BS and BS...
Yeah, I know man. Players just can't seem to play fair.
-

Still makes no sense to allow the script abuse bcz "no ones playing as cop on the server anymore".
-
Players flipping or drowning VAJ mini-mission truck to avoid the other side getting it will now be considered "script abuse" since that is an unfair end to a mini-mission that would otherwise be balanced.
Rules page will not reflect this change as it falls under script abuse and fair play
-
Use /enter and /exit within the realms of roleplay, otherwise it can be counted as evading roleplay/death.
Ex: always enter/exit near the door, although on special occassions you can roleplay jumping out of a window with /me and so on... protip: there's no basements in Miami....
-
protip: there's no basements in Miami....
How about tunnels?
-
How about tunnels?
Let's not attempt to make any jokes or workaround. Use either the door or roleplay using a window.
-
The unwritten standard of helikills during smuggles (from cops) that award the helikiller 6 hour copban is no longer in place.
Anyone helikilling will be punished accordingly, and any intentional helikilling during smuggling will be severely punished.
-
Since the returning to a smuggle scenario appears to be not clear, I will elaborate it here.
If you accidentaly walk off the bridge during a smuggle preparation, admins will not disallow you from returning as the bridge/yacht is known to fuck people over sometimes :D
HOWEVER, if your death is caused by another player (someone blocked the bridge, someone shot you etc) then you are NOT allowed to return and you are NOT allowed to go cop if you die in a roleplay as a civilian (to hunt down the player(s) who killed you).
-
So Finally! :)
-
That what i said to silent , and fuzzie Came ig and said silent can return after death cuz he didnt roleplay during smuggle , and i readed the rules and i read if he at least added in yacht and died he can return after death as cilivan or cop and reported silent .

I didn't come ingame to defend Silent's action. I came ingame just to come ingame. First of all, I made my initial statement without remembering the new rule regarding returning to a roleplay situation as a cop. Second, I did restated that since I'm no longer admin, I don't know how the new rule is supposed to be handled by admins and how Silent's situation is to be treated. I also in addition said that you should confirm with an admin.

Listen first thing i didnt said you came ingame to defend silent action , I said you said he allow to come after death as cop on yacht cuz he didnt rp during smuggle but if you didnt know the new rule then read the rules every day here or ingame or dont talk or defend and you fault cuz you make silent not fault and not feeling himself a rulebreaker , Iam checking the forum and rules everyday , anyway its done.

Does this topic look like your generic argument section? If your answer is no, then shut your trap.
If your answer is yes, then SHUT YOUR TRAP.
-
While technically not a rule update, I will still mention it here.
Players are not allowed to randomly kill cops who are blocking the crane if there has been no interaction between you and the police.
You also may no return as a another person to smuggle another vehicle, that would be returning after death.
-
I don't believe I have to actually say this out loud but....
KILLING PEOPLE WITH NO INTERACTION WITH THEM IS DEATHMATCHING
I don't care if you try to pull out "gangwar" excuse, if you're an admin, a manager or my own mother, you will be punished. Any reports of such behavior should be sent to the email.
[email protected]
This rule will be heavily enforced for a while and regulars may receive harsh tempbans for deathmatching, if you want to do a gangwar you do it properly
-
I know that this'd be allowed, but still asking just in case
I had a barrel once near Silent's house when he shared it to me. Now there was a new player from SAMP, Alfred or something.
I gave him a Colt, and told him ''show what ya can do on that barrel'', and we ''trained'' on that barrel.
It's in a roleplay fashion and doesn't involve killing eachother.
This is allowed, amirite?

Yes, but cops can still come and stop you. As long as you are not shooting at other players, what you're doing is not deathmatching.

New & updated rules for gangwars due to the problems of past few days.
- Gangwars are not to take place without an admin present.
- Gangwars have a cooldown of 2 hours which starts at the end of the scenario.
- Said cooldown may only be bypassed if a new scripted event started AFTER the cooldown was already in place and both groups are involved with the new scripted event.
What does this mean?
After 2 groups initiate a gangwar with each other, after the scenario has ended they cannot start another gangwar where they both are involved for 2 hours.
This cooldown of 2 hours can be bypassed only if a scripted event starts AFTER the initial gangwar scenario is over and both groups are taking part in said mission.
Scripted events include (as of today, 21st of April, 2018) bankrob, mini-missions and smuggle.
-
This means no single member from either of the gangs could infuriate combat (with someone from the opposite party) before the cooldown has finished?
-
You would be correct.
-
Thx :D
It makes me feel soo haaaaaaaapppppppppppyyyyyy    :bananarock: :app: :app:

Yes but after gangwar, member of any party can create another RP scenario like kidnapping someone from other gang(from previous gangwar) or another scenario doesnt need to cooldown for 2hrs?

Ah i tought this is SA:MP but same here on Argonath SA:MP, After gang wars, we can create a new RP scenario?
-
It's simple, if you've had any kind of interaction with an enemy gang, whether that be a kidnapping, shootout, or whatever you cannot interact with them again until after 2 hours. Only exceptions are scripted events such as smuggles and minimissions.
-
Staying AFK in a location where you might interfere with scripted scenarios and/or block access to places has been and will be disallowed.
This rule is also enforced harsher on cops as players who go cop and stay AFK online are counted towards the scripted limitations and for that, you might be kicked out of server.
If you wish to AFK, leave copjob, if you were one and go AFK in a place where you are not blocking anything nor are near scripted criminal hotspots, such as crane, yacht etc.
