Title: Anyway to improve fps ?
Post by: Commander_Cj on July 29, 2017, 03:38:05 am
Greetings,

I have tried the LSE for my potato laptop (Low Specs Experience) and it did work but I didn't see more than 10-15 meters forward...

Wondering if there is anyone that have a way to increase fps for the time being , I tried settings , lowest of the lowest...

Still nothing

Kind Regards,
Commander_Cj

Don't use Power-Saving mode, use High Performance (Battery Settings)

U could try using Swiftshader software:
x32 bit (http://www.tusfiles.net/ll448wee7nsf) / x64 bit (http://www.tusfiles.net/un4l0wc9p2d7)

Though u gotta mess with the settings a bit to get some performance..

4 GB Ram

Ati Mobility Radeon HD 5470 Graphics Card

Core I3 M350 Proccesor

This is most likely everything

@DarkPower202
@afmatt
@Markk

I don't have even a battery XD

Plugged in Mode

I don't want something to mess with my Render distance much to get more fps , I tried once some programs , I got 60Fps but I didn't see more than 15Meters long and thats so annoying in traffic and other things , I might car-kill some people also XD

Don't know much about this mod,but it seems like it works like a charm, you will however notice a drastic change when it comes to the graphics.

your cpu is pretty weak, are the temps fine? you may need to force a lower resolution like 640x480 via commandline..other than that avoid leaving any not needed software running in the background. With these specs it ain't easy to improve fps without cutting features like trees or reducing draw distance drastically.

By "Temps" what do you mean ? I am not so good at hardware if you meant anything in the Proccesor`s parts

No , I always stop every single program that makes me slower using the Task Manger and end its processes .

I don't know , I might try the 800X700 resoultion throw the game settings ... 640X480 is a hell no , that will ruin all of my gameplay

temps i mean temperatures of your CPU/GPU and other components. I do realize under 800x600 it's horrible in 2017 but to run gta iv better you need also some good hardware or you have to cut things like draw distance

Seems bad , My "Gaming" Laptop Overheats most of the time , and I am dumb in such a hardware things , I never tried to open it from the inside and look at it .

For bad luck , I can't upgrade my 5years old laptop , I live in syria :/ (if you have noticed war :/ )

@Markk if you can give me a tested program for IV:MP I will appreciate it.

Try this:
https://www.razerzone.com/cortex

I've been playing V with 2gigs of RAM, still stutters and my HDD is failing.

EDIT:
Not failing, I guess some cable connection is weak.. causing HDD to stop responding.
I changed the cable connection from 2nd HDD to 1st HDD and no more failing.

ok but they're discussing about fps issues due to the hardware and not ping issues, let's not go off topic further

Try this steps, and yes.. it'll make your Windows looks like Windows XP with more performance.

Before:

After:

Right Click on My Computer > Click Properties
(http://s28.postimg.org/hj0f3y63x/image.jpg)

Click Advanced system settings
(http://s28.postimg.org/kjh9khhf1/image.jpg)

Click Performance > Click Settings
(http://s28.postimg.org/wisrrsmzx/image.jpg)

Go to Advanced tab > Adjust for best performance of: Programs > Click Change
(http://s28.postimg.org/6kp5lrhil/image.jpg)

Uncheck Automatically manage paging file size for all drives (Don't change this if you have enough ram (4GB+))
Match the Settings to below > Click OK
(http://s28.postimg.org/drquhmsfh/image.jpg)

Bring on Start Menu > Type battery > Click Change power-saving settings
(http://s28.postimg.org/6lz3f6jcd/image.jpg)

Click High performance > Click Change plan settings (This affects on PC users as well, not just Laptop users)

Turn off display: Never > Put the computer to sleep: Never > Click Change advanced power savings
(http://s28.postimg.org/5dft7agrx/image.jpg)

Hard disk > Turn off hard disk after > Setting: Never (Set to 0)
Wireless Adapter Settings > Power Saving Mode > Setting: Maximum Performance
(http://s28.postimg.org/4zeh7owod/image.jpg)

PCI Express > Link State Power Management > Setting: Off
(http://s28.postimg.org/fiegwuzcd/image.jpg)

Processor power management > Minimum processor state > Setting: 100 (This would cause your laptop to heat all the time, so get a cooling fan first)
System cooling policy > Setting: Active
Maximum processor state > Setting: 100
Display > Turn display off after > Setting: Never (Set to 0)
Click OK
(http://s28.postimg.org/m514q1h0t/image.jpg)

Click Save changes
(http://s28.postimg.org/tasvshq3x/image.jpg)

Bring on Start Menu > Type performance > Click Adjust the appearance and performance of Windows
(http://s28.postimg.org/4qgwhrjvx/image.jpg)

Click Custom > Check Show thumbnails instead of icons > Click OK
(http://s28.postimg.org/6xl55op65/image.jpg)

Hope this helps! ;)

I suggest not getting a new GPU for now(I hate u miners)
Just try optimizing your system(DONT USE GAME BOOSTERS THEY DONT DO ANYTHING)
Close some unnecessary processes in your task manager
Disable some startup programs

For those who still didn't get it, he has a laptop and probably nothing can be upgraded there except for the ram and HDD.

Thanks very much DarkPower for this amazing tutorial , But Overheating is already doing me problems.

I am keeping it not to overheat much and take breaks , But I don't need something to over heat it more , Its already enough , I got a cooling fan , and tried all solutions to stop it over heating , its a problem from HP Company anyway .

But HP don't have any stores in syria , so I Can't replace it or tell them to clean the fan for me .

R.I.P , I will try the others thanks !

I suggest if you got a smthing looks like a pad cooler something with a big fan you put the laptop on it it will help the overheating and keep in your mind if the processor temp increases its performance dirctly decreases automatically and the gpu too the same thing.

Try to increase your MHZ in your Graphics card i used this function in my amd 5450 ati 1gp .
But i dont know if other graphics card can give you access to your MHZ supported to your graphics card to work .

Also try a medium timecyc . (Medium in distance).
Some timecyc makes you cant see as you said before.

Btw i used to get 20 -30 fps while using Windows 7 .
But while using xp black edition i get 25-45 fps also with increasinf MHZ supported in your graphics card.
I hope it can help you.
