Title: SAMP 0.2.2 R3 Beta Test !!

Fixes currently imported in to the 0.2.2 R3 release. 0.2.2 R3 is compatible with all 0.2.2 servers.

0.2.2 R3 is currently in testing and release is expected soon.

- Removed all SAC code. This fixes a security vulnerability mentioned earlier.
- Fixed problem with clipboard text not copying externally.
- Fixed time/fog/lighting flickering when the passing of time is disabled.
- Fixed some vehicle audio problems (silent cars/planes/boats/helis).
- Fixed texture lag/streaming popups when many models were loaded.
- Vehicle model limits increased to 127 (although not recommended to exceed 70 for backward capability).
- Fixed some car mod shop crashes.
- Alternate siren for police vehicles is now synced.
- TextDraw code is completely rewritten. It now works in interiors and will disable with the HUD.
- Crashes caused by DestroyVehicle are fixed.
- Some extra smoothing/lag compensation code is added to the client. This is currently still in testing and will perform better with other R3 clients.

Testing1_7:
- Improved the onfoot sync so there wasn't as much sliding
- Removed hardcoded fps limit of 40
- Fixed players going through walls and below the ground

Testing1_8:
- Imported some of the 0.2.5 vehicle surfing code
- Added command /fpslimit to adjust the frame rate limiter. Valid /fpslimit values are 20-100.
- Removed the procedural plants/rocks again as they can desync the game.
- Fixed (hopefully) problem where there were sometimes vehicles without drivers (testing needed).
- Changed the ordering of the TextDraws. TextDraws are drawn in creation order 0-MAX_TEXT_DRAWS. Previously they were drawn in Show order.

The current testing version of 0.2.2 R3 is Testing 1

If you would like to help test 0.2.2 R3, please join #sa-mp on irc.gamesurge.net. Please report all crashes that occur using the crash reporting dialog. Feedback will be taken in this thread or, if you want you can make a new topic about it.

A 0.2.2 R3 server is currently in private testing also. This fixes a problem with the 0.2.2 R2 server where more players than slots are reported by the query system. It also fixes a problem with SetVehicleToRespawn.

The last news on the site are :

The website and master server lists have been reopened. For now, the security situation appears normal. You can continue to use the SA-MP software if you wish and we’ll be releasing some further security updates within the next two weeks. We’ll also be monitoring the security situation and news will be posted here if there are any threats.

Before this new 0.2.2 security update is made available, please adhere to the following recommendations:
* Only play on trusted servers.
* If anyone asks you to add auth.sa-mp.com or auth2.sa-mp.com to your windows ‘hosts’ file, ignore the request.
* If you notice the Internet and Official lists disappear again, please check this website for information.

It has been decided that, although the actions of the former developer are damaging to the project, the responsibility for preventing something like this was my own. There should have been more strict criteria for allowing someone to enter the team and access the source code and encryption keys. Signed agreements should have also been in place. These will be part of the new rules for any SA-MP developer that has access to the source code.

I apologize for any inconvenience caused during the downtime and hopefully this situation will be completely resolved after the next software update.

Good news that they decided to continue developing, even when in silence. When reading updates and other things, sometimes is seems they are reading our suggestions.  ;)

And make limit so only max 20people from /100 can be cops etc...

After a general check of the SA:MP bug list.
If this isnt released before are expected date. We would have to prepare a special script so when its released fully.
Argonath can move straight over to R3 without any problems and probally more vehicles :)
The sync is improved dramatically such as stand on vehicle has improved so much a video released by a SA:MP player you see him standing on a hydra for at least 20 seconds while flying.
The second siren I cannot wait to see this. And hopefully this textdraw fix may allow argonath to use a few more ideas we had since the beginning.

I have it playing now.

Fixes Texture Lag (Loading enviroments)
Smoother Gameplay
Seemed like better Gfx too in some areas

But, if you wanna help them finding bugs, then the best is on when you use it daily.

Well, if I get my SAMP working again then YAY, because I always had that problem, especially with helis when i couldn't hear them when someone else was driving/flying them...

Boat test results: Verona beach->SFPD:I was driving the boat, Specter was on it and he fell off 3 or 4 times and only if he was in animation. SFPD->Bayside:Specter was driving and i was on the boat. No falls off the boat. Tests were made with full speed.

Well, you didn't try anything then. Boats have very good sync, cars are also driveable when you are on roof, a bit improved graphics on long distances.

You need to have your frame limiter on in the Main Menu, and then set the /fpslimit to something like 40 (MTA:SA level). If it doesn't reach 40, then your PC can't do it and therefore the limit isn't used. If it exceeds 40, you probably don't have the frame limiter on. Otherwise, bug.  :razz:

The sync is also majorly improved (at least for me). Loki was able to ride a Beagle on my server from LV Airport to San Fierro, with no trouble. He even walked up and down the wingspan.

hmm nothing changed for me but framelimit works good. I only hope they make the disco's NON-lagg :roll:
