It's full of shit, not long ago this was the headline of many swedish newspapers "Eva saved the kids"

Basically this article is about some kindergarden teacher who 'saved' an old lady who was being attacked by a pitbull, and she also saved the kindergarden kids because she took them all inside the house etc.
Now at first when I saw this a couple of weeks ago I started laughing my ass off, because I know the f**king dog it's about..
First thing you will notice, is that they say it's a pitbull... wich it's not... it's a bullterrier, and for those of you who know dogs, you know that although a bullterrier's body looks like a pitbulls, it's almost impossible to confuse the two.
Secondly, in the article they say that the teacher heard a cry for help, ran to the old lady being 'attacked', then ran back to her school, took her time to explain it to the other teachers, gather up all the kids, get them inside the house, called the police and an ambulance, then she ran out on the street looking for help, found two carpenters AND a piece of wood... yes, she got herself a wood that she was going to use to "beat the dog"...
This takes like what? 10-20 min?... She saw an old lady getting attacked by a pitbull and instead of helping HER, she ran around like a crazy old bad guy screaming for help.
If this was a real pitbull, actually doing a real attack, the old lady would be dead within that time.
What they don't tell you in the article, is that the one who got the dog to stop 'attacking' the old lady, was just some random person who walked up to the dog and told him "STOP", and the dog stopt... how do I know this? well I know someone who asked around and that is what really happend.
Now as I said before, I actually know this dog, I've had him at my house, I've walked him outside and I've picked up his shit.
This dog is not a pitbull, nor is he the sligthest bit hostile, however he is a bit retarded but still.
I also love how she told all the kids to get in, because she was afraid the dog would jump over the fence and attack them... well in the article there's a picture of the fences... and knowing this dog, he would NEEEEVER... NEEEEEEEEEEEEVEEER be able to jump that high... he can't even jump up on the couch *sigh*
Like I said, the dog isn't a pitbull, and he's not hostile... he was playing around, the old lady freaked out and started kicking the dog, the dog thought "oh you want to play? >=D" and continued to play with her.
In the article they write in a way that is supposed to scare your ass off, "oh noes big bad pitbulls"... the article is so full of shit, I had to be hospitalized due to a huge alergic reaction to BULLSHIT.
The thing that made me actually fall off my chair in laughter is that in the end of the article you can read "Sjukhuset uppgav senare att kvinnan endast hade latta skador." this means that the hospital later on reported that the old lady only had minor injuries... For those of you who don't know what a minor injury is... example: Bruises, scratches, sprains etc.
Sorry for the rant, I read on a blog and they linked to this, I wanted to cuss the bloggers ass out cause she was dumb as shit (no offense) but she had turned off the comments.
This article was serious business in a lot of swedish newspapers (GP/GT/Expressen for er goteborgare).
It digusts me how they can just write any kind of bullshit like it's the godshonest truth.
Just want to make it clear, that this whole incident happened not because the dog ran loose (he was tied up in his backyard however he got away in some fuckt up way) but because the old lady is a fucking retard, and the kindergarden teacher is a dramaqueen / famewhore.

Most people who see a bullterrier think its a pitbull due to the look.
Where as a real pitbull is often greeted with a 'wow nice dog' until they hear the name.

Pitbull can be the kindest dog if you just teach them right, I have one of my own, a Pitbull/Amstaff. Even those who are afraid of dogs, loves her. So don't believe everything the newspaper says, 'cause they're basically lying about half of it, just to scare people about pitbulls. That is very sad though, just to make this a good story, they had to put in "pitbull" and "save the kids".. Otherwise no one would read it.

But I agree that pitbulls are similar to any other dog. There are not many bad dogs, but there are many bad dog owners.
If people take a dog because it is 'cool' and have no idea on how to train, it is a recipe for disaster. Dogs should be treated like dogs, and know their place. Then they are the kindest and best friends. If you take a dog with a strong character, and do not have the power to control it do yourself and the dog a favour and get rid of it.

Basically, the small dogs, those who the grannies goes around with. They're dangerous to, they bite and barking all the time. But because of their size, no one'll ever do a big story of the small dogs, just because they can't make any bigger harm, but they are very annoying and very uncontrolled, though.

Chiwawa was bitten to death by a pitbull. Even though I do like dogs, I just laughed about this.

The wierd thing about this article is that the owner of the chiwawa doesn't even mention pitbull even once, so I wonder how they know for sure it was a pitbull.

All (kamphundar) dogs has a certain cool-ness factor that comes a long with them due to the fact that they are big and has lotsa' muscles etc. but who the fuck cares...
