Post by: CaptainCrazy on March 21, 2010, 08:37:01 pm: Try to re-install SA:MP & GTA, if you have mods installed they might have crashed. So replace the gta img file to the original one.

A gta3.img error would, in my experience, show up on the loading bar for San Andreas, not as soon as the game opens. Hence, that should be fine.

Definitely sounds like a mod-related error, get rid of them, especially something as invasive as CLEO.

SAMP 0.3's first screen is at Santa Maria Beach.. (default one) and not Vinewood Sign :o

if yes:

Remove sa, remove gta_sa.set from my documents, install fresh gta to different location (example d:\gta or c:\program files\gta2\ etc..etc...) run once single player, if it runs install samp, fresh one

if it fails then as well, try updating your drivers or if ou have cista/7 try using compatibility
