Title: The Day My Mother Bought Her Computer
Post by: MorlanV on September 14, 2010, 04:19:08 am
I walk into my house, happy with the fact that my parents are helping me save up for a new computer, because my laptop has looked like it exploded, and has lost it's usb ports and it's internet capabilities. The computer is $1,300, and it's a bit cheap for a Gaming Laptop, which is good for me.

As I walk through the front door, I notice on the desk there is two laptops, my mothers with a small note on top of it, and a big shiny Toshiba laptop. I was excited about the computer, although it wasn't the one that I wanted. I read the note on my mothers computer. "I hope you enjoy it darling, it may be old but it's yours now"! - Love from Mum"

I stare at the small shitheap next to the big Toshiba laptop. I say in my mind, "She might have put the note on the wrong laptop." But I find out she didn't, because the login screen has a password on it, with my mothers name on the screen.

My mother walks in, 4 hours later. She is walking in with a shopping bag, with all those girl accessories(You know, make-up, eye lash stuff, all those things women wear). I am sitting in one of those old posh chairs, next to the wall with a lamp next to me. She tries to see who is sitting in the chair, so I turn on the lamp and throw the light into her eyes. I stare at her as she tries to get the glare out of her eyes.

I stare at her angrily, with my eyes burning red with rage. I stand up and grab the new shitty laptop my mother gave me, and threw it against the wall, making pieces fly everywhere. I say to her, "WHATTHEFUCKDOYOUTHINKYOURDOINGYOUHAVEMO NEYTOBUYYOUROWNCOMPUTERBUTIHAVETOSAVEUP FORMYOWN!"

My 4th story written, I lost my topic that I made to post my stories, no one ever replied to it so I had to make a new topic for this story.

This is a real story, but the ending isn't true, I wish it was though.

I found out her new computer is a shitheap, it is a single duo processor, and her windows 7 home premium is shit. I told her, "Enjoy the windows expierence" and told her to fuck off because the laptop she gave me is mine now.

PC = Same as Laptop, Laptop = Portable PC.

You shouldn't start flaming like all over just for a laptop.. I got one with seriously bad graphics, but I am quiet and I don't care.
I don't need a ultimate pc that has no lagg at all games, at least I am happy to play a game
Be happy that you can GET a laptop, alot people in the world can't get one. Please show some love.. Life can be short!

Why would you complain over a free laptop? If I was your mother I would have taken it back and told you to buy your own than..

IF this is a real story, and IF you ain't ashamed of yourself already, please.. Be ashamed. This is... Amazing.. Amazing that someone can be like this, I wouldn't care how old it was, I would be glad. I buy my own stuff, and if I get something such as that I'm very happy for it, even I don't know you, or your mother, I feel sorry for her and think you are a shame. - My words.

Long shitty text.

You are spoiled. It's caused by being immature.

Sorry to say, but you are an spoiled brat.
Oh by the way. I saved up for my computer on my own. Damn it's so good.
Do the same instead of expecting your parents to do everything for you.

I agree with Morlan. You had an open mind with your mother, wishing your 'end' was true. Without your Mother, you can't even post this 'Shit' here.

When life gives you lemon, keep it. But hey, free lemon.
Atleast you get a free laptop, I myself got a shitty low-end computer and I'm forced to use my own budget to purchase a new computer.

Let me explain little deeper about the "spoiled".

I will show you two sides of the coin, one who tried to spoil me. And the other tried to be fair, not spoil to much that will say.
This is based on an true story, so I kindly ask you to respect it (as people asked me to respect the furries decision). If you got critism, post it in an constructive way. The story is also based on seperated parents.

My mom, who did not have an very good economy.
My dad, who had an good fortune, yet not so good (not on the limit to being out of money, yet not rich).

My dad, could have spoiled me if he wanted to.
My mom, could not. Yet tried hard to do it, so in an sense she could have spoiled me too.

My mom was afraid I would leave her for dad (since the conditions was not exactly good in her house).
So she tried to spoil me. Got me an PS2, got her and my half-siblings family an computer (that was way way better than dads for the time being).

What she did not realise, that it was the actual spoiling that ruined her life (loans on her soon to be ex-husband (not my dad, but another person) and wich made the conditions horrible for living with her), and that it eventually lead me to hate her dearly (not yet wanting to see her dead, it's mom after all).

Dad, was fair. He only got me what I needed. My first computer (with the help of his car, with him driving me around) I worked to get myself. I was the one, who sold over 500-800 different items (mainly christmas stuff) to gather the 11000 kr neceesarry to reach the star rank in the company. Wich netted me my own computer. (Wich at that time was very decent, it was worth maybe 2500kr at the time, and I got 4000kr to keep as pocket-change)

Now, wich way is better. Do you want your mom to spoil the shit out of you? Or do you want to gather the money with an little help from parents (maybe driving you around in an car so you can sell stuff for an company that employs 9-15 years old for an limited time).

Think about it, OP. Then answer.

The day I become an parent, i'm going to balance it. Not spoil them over the board. Only sometimes. To make them understand that they always can not get whatever they want, but must work for it instead.

You know, I thought you were my friend.
EDIT: I also did not make my signature, someone made it that motto.

bought my other computers, and they were shitholes aswell.

Do you know what I do for my mother? I don't get in trouble, I don't be a little douche and annoy the shit out of her everyday and make her not scream. I am there for her when she is sad, and I ask her how her day was and help her make lunch, dinner and breakfast. I think I sorta deserve something.

It DID break, that's why i wasted 2 years saving up for another one. I also did learn a lesson, don't let your retarded friend jam a usb cable into the usb port upside down.

Does not change the fact that you are spoiled.

Also, If I could save up around 4000kr for the computer I have now (wich is was better then the old one) then so can you and everyone else.

Do you realise she was the one who gave birth to you. Do you realise they are paying upwards of 150000$ from the day you were born until the age of 18 (according to normal swedish standards).

Also, are you aware that she could just have not given you an computer at all? She's not really forced to. BE happy with what you got. If you want more then you gotta save up for it.
