Title: Fooling administration.
Post by: Cutt3r on June 13, 2011, 06:45:30 pm
As the topic says, some people - whether regular or new players - are attempting to fool administration for various matters - typically it may be for setting of a house after one property admin says 'No'. Or if a property admin says that a place can't have a Mad Dogg int, the player concerned goes to another admin to try his luck.
Another instance is when players ask for refund - a player claims that a bug ate his 10k used for car modification. He asks an admin for a refund and the admin gives him the cash, trusting him. He repeats the same act with other members of administration.

Anyone doing either what is listed above or any such other acts wherein they try to have their way with members of administration by fooling them - will be punished. Punishment can be in any form - monetary or otherwise. It depends on each case.

If you are told by a property admin that a particular place will not be set or that an interior will not fit a building - accept it. Do not go to another property admin and try your luck. Respect the word of the former admin.

Yes, each admin may see a particular building in a particular way. Because the setting of houses/interiors is based on judgment about size and other matters. But when an attempt is made to bypass one admin for another to try and get a 'yes' from him - that is just fooling the former admin.

I have got a few names of players who are trying to have their way with various property admins - be warned. Do not continue such practices.

Sorry but I dont know why I laughed when you said "try to have their way with administration"

I guess it's because I'm an idiot.

Oh wait, it sounds sexual nevermind

Why not just take a "No" from an admin and respect their answer. Ignoring what they say and going to ask another might blow your only chance
to be trusted by the admins  ;)

With all due respect, Cutter, but I think it's simply the nature of some people characteristics.

This issue can be seen in several similar cases:

- Kids who won't get their candy from dad will ask it from mom.
- Customers in a Shop that don't get a refund of a particular product will try to ask another shop employee.

It's seen in a various kind of scenarios, I think this warning can wake up some people, however will not get rid of your problem. Let's hope there will be many members reading it knowing that such form of 'backstabbing?' is not tolerated and really disrespectfull towards others.

Yesterday i asked Jcs to set me a house:

It was at Temple, opposite of my ex-house what was by then owned. They were same sized and i asked same int to house what i wanted. When it was ready, it costed half more than my ex-house [500k] (same size, same parking lot, same int)
I didn't even have cash for the house so it was useless and is still unowned. So is it fair that house what i requested costed half more than the ex-house.

But i hope you don't mean me with those "names"

Maybe the other's house's value was invalid and jcs thought the value for that house should be 750k?

The house on the other side of my street costs the double of my house aswell, that's economy, check before you buy.

Well Obviously as they are Admins they get Preferential Treatment :P

There is already an ammunation existing in Fort Carson who have been there for a while. And SkyHawk own the Willowfield Cluckin Bell and that have he had for a while.

Some guys just love to point fingers...

Jcs was not aware about the rule regarding not setting ammunations. He should be aware about it now. There is no case of preferential treatment.

I did not know more ammunations were not set. Only reason I found out is from this thread.  :(

Property guidelines for pricing can be found here: http://www.argonathrpg.eu/forum/index.php?topic=52556 (http://www.argonathrpg.eu/forum/index.php?topic=52556)  so feel free to evaluate your property beforehand, to avoid disappointment in price.

I do not alter prices based on nearby houses, only check them as guidelines. In Shejkens case above, although house was same, yours had a large closed off garden area, and the other is under priced and was set years ago.

Well Obviously as they are Admins they get Preferential Treatment :P

Also, don't try to fool us with bugged cars, when you just wish to reset only for gas... next time somebody does this will receive a hit by the banhammer really.

No ban needed. Take time to check out the car before reset.

My policy on players who obviously try to fool me as an admin, or come to me in order to get around the decisions taken by other admins, is very simple. It is quick, effective, and dispenses with having to waste 30 minutes that can be spent on more important tasks, such as helping new players.

Once I prove someone tries to fool me or use me to get around another admin, I ban them on sight.

The same goes for players who try to flame and shit admins outside of Argonath domains, players who scam new players by using their inexperience, and regulars who continuously moan / provoke.

WELL DUHHHH

Players usually pm admin ' z0mg id0 bug helpppp meeee ' when all they want to do is to get free 100$ :money: fuel.
In such a case, the admin is advised to go tele and check out the car himself, the player usually takes advantage of admin being busy.

I just explained that even though i've never seen it happen

Oh yeah, one time I asked you, Cutter to set a house but it was not a suitable place for a house.
The next day someone asks a different property admin to set a house there and it happened.

I raged.  :(

There is only one reason why people do this, it's because SOME administration is idiots, seriously. You think we pointing fingers to you? No, we are smart enough to TRY getting passed by with a other admin if the luck was not with us, this is because we know SOME administration accepts "these" things. I got once a tree setted in the woods from an admin...

So please, don't be so nut, accept that we are human like you, Cutter. Stop bullcraping shit that we pointing fingers and shit on you, because it's all your fault and these administration.
Administrator Comment Post restored. Thanks for the evidence on your actions.
