Title: Is it possible that avatars can be a little bit bigger?

Try to imagine your own avatar 2x big, the rest of the text seems out of sync :P

It's actually an image size limitation in the signature settings, with which you may want to make another topic to discuss. The reason why most admins on most forums don't change the default setting on this is because users tend to absolutely love putting giant signatures on their posts that take up very large portions of the page.

His image got taken down due to hotlinking. Some websites don't like their images being shown off-site, so they block hotlinking.

I find people without avatars to be rather 'faceless' and I generally can't put any kind of identity to them or their posts.

150x150 is bigger than you guys think by the way, 125x125 would be a large enough improvement on the current ones without taking up much more space. 150x150 is a bit big for what is essentially just meant to be a face.
Even an increase to 110x110 would be appreciated.

Thats the point, if you want to use alot of details like text in your avatar, you can use your signature. That is where the signature is for. Not the avatar.

this is pretty decent though my picture is only 99 x 99 anyway :\

another thing that could be cool is to allow slightly "taller" avatars... so you can have a full shot of a character or something without it having to be microscopic...

maybe 100 x 150 or something...
