So.. since I've begun to go in the gym once again, I could actually need a few tips or something that I can build my muscle mass faster.. And.. I am pretty used to lift heavy weights, but I'd like to know if it's really that dangerous as they say.. I'm capable of lifting a total weight on 80kg at the moment. And yet I'm trying to reach 100kg before this summer/somewhere in the middle. And so on, but the main thing is. How can I like.. become '' big '' ? What should I actually start with while getting back on my feet?
Should I like.. keep on lifting alot like I did before, or should I go easy first and then try with a bit heavier weights?

Tried Protein?
Nah, not yet.. I want to see what I can do without it.

What exercises are you doing?.. and just lifting too much weight isnt gonna build your body faster, infact it may harm you.. you should listen to the guys in charge inside the gym, and ask for their help for tips and advises.
-
Well. I'm currently going with dumbbells and bench press, also back and stomach..

If you just want tone, stick to smaller weights...like dumb-bells you can handle without too much hassle.
Want to get big? Go near the limit...the muscle fibres rip, heal and increase in size.

I used to lift much more before some months. But it has gone down a bit. However, I'm pretty much lifting almost too much what I am capable of to lift. (Ofcourse I'm not maxing to death or something.) And, that might help.

In order to gain weight, you should be consuming more than 2000 calories a day. You should follow an exercise regimen that consists of multiple compound lifts. If you need an idea on how to perform any exercise, youtube is a very valuable resource in learning correct form and making corrections.
Read this topic and follow the links, it's good for beginners.

There is no such thing as "toning," you either build muscle or you don't.

Thread is closed.. However I'll ask others in the gym when I'm about to go there (probly later today) and see with them.

You should get a set of practice from someone that knows or has done a lot of body building.
-
Don't overdo on supplements, or you'll regret it later on. Probably you'd come across some idiots who'd tell you to chug down amino acids or whey like it was water.
-
Try to get as much sleep as possible at the end of the day as that obviously is when your body starts to recover. You could also have little naps before a work out too. Do try to stay away from alcohol as it has a suppressant nature.
Here have a look at this fellow he may be of help http://www.youtube.com/user/fitness1ststeps (http://www.youtube.com/user/fitness1ststeps)

Most of these are paid (however No piracy, none of these are pirated. I got them as gift and some of them were bought online for as low as $1 ;) ) I did thought of using these but never had time :p Some of these are written by the best fitness gurus there are.

Bro, you need to check your understanding...building muscle size is entirely different to tone.
Tone - Reaching the potential of the muscle you already have...not "flopping" around. Tight.
Building - Damaging muscle fibres, meaning they grow back "stronger", or larger.

You have no idea what you are talking about.

Drink banana shakes, eat alot of pasta, fruit and work out. Its the fucking best you can do and no more shit.

"Tone" = low bf %, not actual muscle mass.
-
Actually, the working out-thing is only thirty percent of the whole. If you sleep and eat good you will have more chances of gaining weight than if you workout fifty percent and eat and sleep a bit less.
-
First you got to set yourself a goal. That goal is exactly why you want to go to the gym.
Do you want to really do bodybuilding ? Then you will need additives as the body of a bodybuilder seldom grows natural,
Do you want be able to lift a lot ? That requires a different way of training, Watch the Olympic and you will see that the champoins weightlifting look very different from bodybuilders.
Do you want overall strength ? That requires much more than lifting alone, you may want to take up some side sports to not just build muscles but use them as well.
Be careful in how you develop your body. While you are young it is easy to get a good shape, but it is also easy to make yourself used to vast quantities of food. In a couple of years, you will not want to spend so much time in the gym, and you will have to change your habits, or grow incredibly fat.

I didn't say tone was muscle mass...misunderstanding?

You said working out with smaller weights will get you toned, it won't. Tone comes from having low bf %, which you get by doing cardio exercises.
