True, as far as running java programs is concerned. However Windows 8 implements some new security features which highly likely prevents my program from moving the chatlog within your user-space.If you set the program to request administrative permissions upon running, this may solve it. Windows Vista+ is known to be buggy with some programs in regards to user document directories, although the issues are not consistent across machines for unknown reasons. I can't guarantee anything, but it's worth a try.
Can't run .jar as administrator.Java can be set to run as administrator though.

I just double click the file , but it opens the Nokia PC Suite asking me to connect my phone :rofl:It sounds like this program may be having a conflict with something already existing on your computer.

I will test the Update 4 on Windows 8 64bits, Windows 7 64bits and Windows 7 32bits.

- By default, the application will look for your chatlog.txt, and will turn the red "Not found" into a green "Found".
- Also, it will detect if the backup folder exists and change the status text accordingly.
- The program will attempt to create the specified backup folder if it's not found and the backup routine is triggered.
- If you paste a custom path in any of the two textfields, you have to press the Set button to submit your choice. The application will check if the path exists and change the status text accordingly.
- The output area has been upgraded to give you a better idea what's going on. Should help a lot on bug reports.
- Internal code has been reworked which should allow people to run the application if they couldn't do so previously.
Hope to have a working version by tomorrow! Hang in there :)

A little update on the C# (native Windows) version:
- Allows you to select your own paths for the chatlog and the output.
- Better and less buggy performance.
- Ability to minimize to the system tray.
- Better detection of when SA:MP quits.
- When minimized, a baloon tip will notify you when a new backup is made.
Good choice using C# in place of Java. Loaded flawlessly, <5mb memory footprint, now to put it to the test.Thanks! Please let me know if it works for you.
