Hey. Since updating TS3 I've noticed a massive looping echo. When I do a voice test either on voice detection or push-to-talk, whatever I say is provided with a horrible high-pitch feedback. People I've talked to have complained about a massive echo coming from my end. The weird thing is that I don't think I had this problem before I updated.

My headset is a TurtleBeach X11.

Another odd thing is that this problem doesn't seem to exist in Skype... so I'm assuming TS and my headset just aren't getting along.

Anything I can do to resolve this or at least reduce the echo? Because it's a real pain in the fucking ass.

Odd situation you have there.
Tried resetting your Teamspeak settings all to default?

Are you running your playback sound via speakers or the headset?

If you got any program to your headset which can change your settings, then you should turn it off. I got myself Logitech G35, and I notice every time I got the program open.

If you are here for doing random event stuff, I'd recommend a free roam server. We're not that anymore. We're a roleplay server.

I also have the TurtleBeach x11's this is a common problem as they are not initally designed for PC, they are mainly made for Xbox's.  The problem is that the sound output is... well clear and loud while still having a sensitive mic. The volume control does have a canceling for this, BUT it only works on the Xbox controller mic input, thus the normal input does not have this protection.

For this, it is best you open Teamspeak, goto Settings, Options, and then Capture settings; Make sure "Echo Reduction" and "Echo Cancellation" are both checked; additionally "Remove Background Noise", and "Automatic Voice Gain Control" are also both enabled.

This will reduce the problem, but mainly the best thing will be to avoid using your hotkey (yes on should be set with these headphones) when others are speaking.

Headset although the device is actually speakers.

I've tried messing about with countless setting to no avail. I've tried turning the volume down on the little switch the headset has, but the problem is only bearable if I turn the volume practically all the way down which just sucks. The problem still exists if I use push-to-talk and quite frankly I just find it awkward to use whilst playing a game.

I don't know why it's all of a sudden playing up. Before the update this problem never existed.

Assuming your speaking about the 3.0.6 release, I just reviewed Teamspeaks patch notes, I can't seem to see anything relating directly to audio, other than a driver issue and some volume/misc audio plugins fixes.

Do you use any TS plugins?

Do you use any music players while on Teamspeak (Windows Media, Spotify, Itunes Etc.)

Do you have a 32 bit or 64 bit OS, and are you using the correct install of Teamspeak. (64 bit TS, on 64bit OS; 32 bit TS on 32 bit OS)

Check the wire, is their any damage to it; Including scrapes, abrasions, cuts etc.

Test the inputs locally, is their any issues with the Mic in + audio out (try with another speaker + mic is possible)

Nope.

Not usually, but it seems any sound (including my voice) completely disrupts it and creates the echo.

Do you have a 32 bit or 64 bit OS, and are you using the correct install of Teamspeak. (64 bit TS, on 64bit OS; 32 bit TS on 32 bit OS)

64 bit, and the correct one is installed.

Check the wire, is their any damage to it; Including scrapes, abrasions, cuts etc.

Checked it, completely fine.

Test the inputs locally, is their any issues with the Mic in + audio out (try with another speaker + mic is possible)

I don't have another headset, but the inputs are fine. I done a quick test recording with Sound Recorder and the result was perfect. I also record my voice into Audacity when I record some gameplay from time to time, and the sound on that is fine again.

The fact this problem is only occuring on TS leads me to believe that it must be something wrong with the program itself. I've tried everything thinkable and tempered with both the TS settings and Windows sound settings, yet the echo is still just as bad.

I just don't understand why it doesn't work now...

EDIT: Okay, I don't know what happened, but it's working if I put the headset's audio and mic jacks into the back panel. The problem persists if I use the front inputs. Is there anyway to fix this, as it's a real pain the ass if I want to use my speakers and I have to keep taking the jacks in and out. D:
