Hi All,
Sorry I've only just had a chance to read this!

I can confirm there is nothing in the ELM 9.1 code that will cause weapon spawns, I think it would get instantly banned from all SAMP servers if it did :)

I take it no-one has actually found they have extra weapons, it is just the Argonath script thinking they have? Also, does it only happen when ELM is running or has it happened to anyone whilst the mod is not running (and car lights not flashing)?

As someone pointed out I havent made any changes to the mod since last year which makes me wonder what has changed recently... I think there has been a new minor version of CLEO recently which may have some sort of 'conflict' with Argonath's anti hack scripts. What version of CLEO are people running who have been banned? ( I think it tells you on the pause screen in GTA - bottom left )

I play on Argonath a lot and never had a problem so maybe whatever version of CLEO I have is the one to use....

CLEO 4 had some sort of update but i never updated so im using the original release of CLEO 4 still, never had any problems.

I wouldn't /q unless they tell you to after. Otherwise the confusion may make them think you were trying to avoid admin punishment for "hacking" if it sets off their warnings.

What version of CLEO are you using?

Actually I was wrong, it doesnt tell you the full CLEO version on the pause screen :(

No easy way to find out your version number but I know I have 4.1.1.26 and have no problems. Maybe CLEO 4.1.1.30f (the newest one) has this bug

Let me know if you want me to drop the installer for the older version somewhere

I am still not convinced this is caused by CLEO or ELM. I remember CBFasi when he made the anti-weaponhack scripts that this happened aswell when we tested it and it has always happened. I have an admin confirming this aswell.

I am not sure but I think developers should seriously take a look on this before more innocent people are getting banned.

There is no proof either way that its Cleo, it could be the server scripts. So saying that its someones fault for using a mod when its not even proven to be the problem is a rather bold conclusion.

Regardless of them having modifications or not, it's clear that this is related only to Argonath's scripts as no one else is reporting it, and it's just now popping up. That means the trigger is something in the Argo SA:MP server specifically, which is not a user error.

I never scripted those scripts, why should it be my fault then? It has always been a "bug" as I was a beta tester and CBFasi has said that several rimes - but it worked out great but maybe recently somethings got have changed by accident?

It's not the mod as people without CLEO got banned too.

Although your right, MrTrane is a trusted person in Argonath being an admin and all so I doubt he would actually hack any weapons, but when this happened to me I still got banned so yeah it's a bit annoying..  :neutral:
Argo treats everyone same way, you can't use explanation of 'he played long enough and shiz so he wouldn't hack'. Everyone gets same chances - regular hacks, he gets banned, newbie hacks - he gets banned.

That's a hack. That's completely separate from this, and has to be downloaded and installed separately. All CLEO is is a program that hooks into GTA's memory and adds additional SCM opcodes while the game is running, allowing for special "scripts" to run that have more capabilities than the original GTA game. The memory addresses for the functions these opcodes add exist in the game as undocumented and unused, but the SCM itself doesn't have codes for them, so CLEO adds these codes back in so scripts can run. By itself, CLEO is harmless and does nothing aside from display it's name in the pause menu on-screen unless a user has a script installed for it to run.
