So SugarD, you mean that our weapon anti hack system make the players spawn weapons that are restricted on Argonath? I have seen the actuall spawn but it gets removed due to the script restriction.
No, I'm saying if ELM is triggering error messages from the anti-hack system, that could be why. Spawning weapons is a completely different story though. What makes me wonder is why this is suddenly popping up now. CLEO 4 and ELM 9.1 have been out for almost a year. With as many servers using it, including our's, someone would have caught this by now if it were linked to ELM or CLEO. There has to be something else triggering this, even if ELM is involved in it.

If someone was to actually spawn invalid weapons they would see them for a split second then they would disappear. Admins would also see this visually and in scripts. The server does not is not giving the weapon it simply detects it.

I know that, which is why I'm wondering if ELM is triggering a bug in another script. So far Argo SA:MP is the only server anywhere on the internet to report this issue, and it just suddenly came up. I've never even heard of anything like this until now, and this mod has been over about a year. Programs don't just suddenly change their code. There has to be something else involved too, and is likely specific to our scripts since Argo is the only community reporting this issue.

Your right, I had got banned for heat seeker hacks altough I had no idea I had a heat seeker or even tried to obtain one, I had CLEO3 and ELM and there were 2 other cases like mine a few weeks befor I got banned... Maybe it is script related, not the scripts giving weapons but the scripts clashing with ELM or CLEO which causes the appearance of what ever weapon..

But then again thats why they say use mods at your own risk..

At this point I think it's safe to say to just be cautious, and make sure you are only using the latest versions of these mods. If anyone else gets this bug, please state the version of your mods and any other details you remember, such as vehicles being driven/on foot, what weapons you had, what skin you had, etc.

Hopefully this can be tracked down. It could just be a script conflict or bug somewhere that ELM happens to trigger when it runs.

The only reason I used CLEO3 and the old ELM is because they are the most simple to install and use... ;)

It's not ELM that does it, it's CLEO.

I had CLEO, and townzone (which never worked properly for me) and it spawned weapons.

=Not ELM.

=CLEO

I say again

It's CLEO not ELM

EDIT:

How about, instead of panicking going OMG IT'S ELM. Read Murts first post instead of believing everybody else, it's definitely CLEO, NOT ELM that causes the weapons spawning.

I also think it's somewhat unfair that many people have reported this, regulars and veterans but they were not believed, but as soon as an Rstar member reports it happened to them, it is believed.

I think a few of you may remember when I was banned for 'Minigun' and it was CLEO...

I remember when you got banned, unforunate things to get banned by something you do not know can spawn weapons, as Grzesiek said.

You use the modification ON YOUR OWN RISK, not ours.

Update immediately. Anything older than ELM 9.1 (which requires CLEO 4) is not allowed because it causes crashes for users or heals the vehicle.

Why not just have a clean GTA SA? I just love the original things, modded things make the game looks like something else that do not belong.

Well I can't disagree that ELM is a nice modification for those who are within the law enforcement.

I personally, on most days, only use one or two vehicle mods because of my passion to be law enforcement IRL. ELM is still nice to have, though, even on normal vehicles. It makes you feel more like the vehicle you are driving is the real deal. Sometimes small visual details like that are what make everything more interesting! ;)

As someone who loves everything to do with Law Enforcement, having something that allows my cars to have lightbar patterns is a dream come true.

A clean GTA SA for me doesn't feel right. Too many years of an unmodded one and I grew tired of it.

Hi All,
Sorry I've only just had a chance to read this!

I can confirm there is nothing in the ELM 9.1 code that will cause weapon spawns, I think it would get instantly banned from all SAMP servers if it did :)

I take it no-one has actually found they have extra weapons, it is just the Argonath script thinking they have? Also, does it only happen when ELM is running or has it happened to anyone whilst the mod is not running (and car lights not flashing)?

As someone pointed out I havent made any changes to the mod since last year which makes me wonder what has changed recently... I think there has been a new minor version of CLEO recently which may have some sort of 'conflict' with Argonath's anti hack scripts. What version of CLEO are people running who have been banned? ( I think it tells you on the pause screen in GTA - bottom left )

I play on Argonath a lot and never had a problem so maybe whatever version of CLEO I have is the one to use....
