I just heard that India is about to send an exploration mission to Mars. No offense but your politicians must be really..unappropriate is the best word I could figure while maintaining language.
Instead of spending highly needed money elsewhere, on health, education, agriculture and production, they choose to spend it in a way that there is no help for the citizens..when will the politians learn?
Yes, the thing about the mars mission is true.
But a thing which dominates India, is the money, You're lucky this hasn't hit Europe or western part of the world yet. India might be the fourth largest economy in the world, and the second largest rising economy after China. Yet, we believe, everything has a price. A man, at good post won't sell for $1, wouldn't sell for $100, maybe sell for $1000, might sell for $10000, but he'll surely sell for $100000, and he'd be at your feet for $100000, in fact he'd clean them with his tongue if you want. Everyone and everything has a price, do remember that.
Now, the facts, the latest project in India was , ''Yamuna Expressway'' A simple fly over, where cars would travel at speed higher of 100/KMH, and reach from Noida, to a major city, Agra (where the famous Taj Mahal is located) in just two hours, whereas the journey used to be about 6 hours before, total cost of it?
$174,191,757 and 46 cents, to be exact.
Now if you look at it yourself, there's a margin for everything, only 30 percent of the money actually goes into such projects over here, at least 40 percent is eaten up by the politicians, engineers and the rest is used in just planning done on papers.
The thing is, when you get easy money, and even loads of it, who'd be such a huge idiot to not take it?
Apart from the corruption, I believe the black out has nothing to do with the politicians, I mean they won't stick to the electric poles and sit by the damn power grid all day, its a massive power grid, which provides power to the entire country, and the power was re instated within 6 hours, which is a huge success in my view. Anyhow, the Power minister was changed the very next day of that happening.
