[SA:MP] In-Game Server Rules - Updated: 24/APR/2021

Section  2.Roleplaying Updated 13/08/2019

Previously:

• Usage of /gm (group message), public chat or other non role-play communication ways to call for backup in kidnapping/similar situations are deemed false and are set to a punishment.

CURRENTLY:

• Usage of /gm (group message), public chat, /pm (private message) or other non-role-play communication ways to call for backup or as an IC method of communication is deemed false and are set to a punishment.

Due to some previous HQ stances which stated that /pm could be used as a role-play method the section above has been edited to make it clear that /pm is not a roleplay chat and should not be used for IC communications.

After a discussion within HQ, the following changes to the rules have been put into place.

2.Roleplaying
 - You must role-play a realistic portrayal of fear for the character you're roleplaying within reason. For example, if you are outnumbered five to one by a rival crew you can not start shooting as if you were neo from the matrix with the expectation to kill all of them.
 - Powergaming shall be seen as a rule-break, never force an action or state on another player without giving them an opportunity to react and/or a choice.

3.2 Cop Hunting
 - You may not engage Law Enforcement in barricaded situations if you're not inside the building being barricaded (This applies to all barricaded situations including bank robberies). This is to avoid constant assault against police during negotiations. This means you can not "call for backup" while being barricaded inside a building, this does not apply to ambushes during pursuits, those are still allowed.
 - Ramming through a police barricade without proper role-play reason will be seen as cop hunting.

3.3 Police Rules
 - Drive-by from SWAT vehicles with 10,000HP is forbidden unless the said vehicle has reached 1,000HP and/or is in danger of exploding.

3.4 Safe-Zones
 - The following areas are assumed to be crime-free areas as they would normally be patrolled and secured by security forces in a role-play scenario.
  -> Los Santos Airport (Terminal area where new players spawn)
  -> Law Enforcement Facilities
  -> Banks (unless performing a bank robbery)
  -> Hospitals
  -> Fire Departments
  -> Courthouses
  -> City Halls

* Role-play scenarios which involve criminal activity inside a safe-zone can take place with authorization of a Snr Administrator+ to ensure that these scenarios are properly role-played.
* If a crime is committed outside of a safe-zone but during a chase said suspect enters a safe zone the pursuit may continue. Entering a Police Department or FBI Field Office will still be seen as turning yourself in.

3.2 Cop Hunting
 - If you are with another member of your current group/family/gang and they are wanted and you are not you may assist them in holding off the law, as long as you were present at that exact moment and not 300 feet away.  The same can apply if you are in a vehicle with someone who is wanted and you are not, you may open fire as you yourself have been attacked there-fore allowed to shoot back.  This only applies if you were in the vehicle at that time.

Due to the recent changes above, the following rule has been removed. It was badly worded and is no longer necessary.

• Players must be somewhat realistic with their roleplay, give others a chance to respond to your role-play actions, giving them no chance to respond or forcing them into a situation is not allowed.

A small addition to the chat rules:

• Do not shit-talk in /public chat after a shootout or situation, provocations and such will not be tolerated. If you feel any rules were broken contact /staff.

We've had enough of the shit talks in public, this rule applies to everyone civilians, police, criminals, sauron and the pope. Take it to a /cb or /pm.

Break this rule and you can expect a temp ban.

Update to 9. Usage of Heavy Weapons / Heavy Vehicles.

old:

• RPG's can only be used against Aircraft's or Boats(if firing upon a taking off boat/plane/aircraft collateral damage is permitted)
• Heavy Air (Hydra/Hunter) can only be deployed against aircrafts (Anything that operates itself within the air, and not on the ground.) or water vehicles (boats, hover crafts, etc)
• Heavy Air (Hydra/Hunter) can return fire if fired upon, how ever heavy air is not permitted to stay at a scene if no aircraft or boat is being used, they are permitted to stay and hover nearby airspace after an aircraft or water vehicle was recently operated by the individuals they're after.
• Heavy Air (Hydra/Hunter) must first issue warnings through the pilot radio or megaphone or marine radio before opening fire on the target.
• Heavy Air (Hydra/Hunter) trainings must be done in non-populated areas such as overseas. It is always recommended not to fly a military aircraft nearby new players to not give them a wrong idea about the server and how it operates.

new:

• RPG's can only be used against Planes/Helicopters or Boats (if firing upon a taking off boat/plane/aircraft collateral damage is permitted)
• Hydra/Hunter can fire against aircrafts (Anything that operates itself within the air, and not on the ground.) or water vehicles (boats, hover crafts, etc)
• ARAF may carry out airstrikes on set locations, only a single fly-by is allowed every 15 minutes, damage on ground targets is allowed when doing so.
• Hydra/Hunter can also return fire if fired upon. They are not permitted to stay at a scene if no aircraft or boat is being used, they are permitted to stay and hover nearby airspace after an aircraft or water vehicle was recently operated by the individuals they're after until ground units arrive.
• Hydra/Hunter must first issue warnings through the pilot radio or megaphone or marine radio before opening fire on the target.
• Rhinos can be used to defend military facilities in any capacity against trespassers.
• Rhinos can be used against vehicles or individuals attempting to destroy the rhino outside a military facility.
• Rhinos can be used against individuals destroying other military vehicles outside a military facility.

3.1 Copbaiting

• Players cannot help/aid suspects after the police arrives to the situation (such as a barricaded area or police presence in an area) however they can do that during an active pursuit IF the aider has been in the game since the start of the situation and was contacted via roleplay methods. (i.e. didn't suddenly join with a discord call or anything outside of rp measures)

2.Roleplaying

• If you have been frisked by a cop and there were drugs found on you, you're entitled to say the exact number of grams you have on you and give 50% of the amount to the cop that frisked you. The cop can no longer confiscate from you again only after 24 hours have passed

8.Properties

• If you're inactive and just buying properties (especially to piss people off) your properties will be admin sold without notice. If you want to keep your properties you don't have to only pay taxes but to have minimum 5 hours a week activity without being AFK.
