It all began with the Reye's brothers - Sean and Nuno Reyes.
1 month after all their life changed; they have gone through rough times in their childhood; their family had no money and only their dad was working.
One day Sean and Nuno have gone out to play football - as they are playing, a few criminals approched and asked for the ball - Sean and Nuno didn't give the ball and said it was theirs. The thugs started laughing at them and they said "We give nothing and we take everything. We rule this area now, nobody tells what to do. Next time you say no to us, you will find yourselves in Heaven."
Sean and Nuno were very scared as they were 12 years old. They told said what happened to their father.
Their father told them they would leave the house they were in in one week.

Their father threw out their garbage - Sean, Nuno and their mother hear some gun shots. Their mother said "Don't move, perhaps it's the thugs".
Nuno asked where their father was and have gone outside along with Sean and they face thugs again; they said "Is this your dad? I'm sorry, hahaha."
Sean and Nuno started running after them to kick their ass but Jimmy, their best friend, said "Stop. They have guns, we will stand no chance." Sean still wanted to kick their ass but Nuno said Jimmy was right and Sean agreed with them.
One of the thugs said "Finally, someone who's smart enough. NOW STEP ASIDE! We don't care if he is your dad - he crossed in our way, we killed him to show we rule this shit."
Sean, Nuno and Jimmy have gone home and their mother said "You are crazy. You could have died."
Nuno: Mother, thank Jimmy because he told us to stop.
12 years later
The situation was worse, 5 more gangs and mafias ruled Los Santos.
A mafia would be destroyed but a new one would born the next day; the criminality increased a lot.
Nuno: Sean, you know, we gotta do something about this shit.
Sean: Yeah, I can't stand it. How about we create a gang with Jimmy? So we can show these thugs what a real gangster is about.
They settled a meeting with Jimmy at their house but when they arrive, they faced their mother laying on the ground, full of blood.
Jimmy: Hey, what's up? Do you guys need my help?
Nuno: Yeah, we wanna open a new gang to scare these thugs off because I and Sean can't stand at this situation in Los Santos.
Jimmy: Of course I will, but what is our aka gonna be?
Sean: We live in Ganton, mayne.
Nuno: I have one; THE GROVE STREET FAMILIES.
Jimmy had no family left so he decided to go down with 'em.
A NEW ERA HAS BEGUN!!!THE GROVE STREET FAMILIES is a gang who rules Los Santos.
Its characteristic color is green and they do everything they can to take over new territories in Los Santos, with Reyes brothers' help and their "friend" Big Smoke and Ryder who eventually betrayed them.
Their leaders are Sean Reyes and Nuno Reyes, Kendl's brothers. Their hang-around point is Ganton, also known as Grove Street - most important members live there.

Reyes is a family affiliated to GSF. You cannot apply because you can only become a Reyes member after you have been with GSF for a long period of time and you have to go through all the ranks; basically you have to show that you are a true and respectable GSF member.
You can only join Reyes after being invited by me or Sean Reyes.
