Lock own topics in Selling/Buying boards.

In this board, let people lock their topics. So once they've sold something, people will lock the topics themselves.

Will organize stuff. I'm sure people will lock their topics.

Nah locking stuff should be done by forum moderators. If people do not lock the topics then there will be a lot of unlocked topics which should be locked and Moderators will not give a much attention to  unlocked topics. Not Supported.

What if someone forgot to lock his topic.And another and some more..This will be total disaster.Thus the Forum Moderators have a look on the topics everyday which will be hard for them to manage.

And for people to lock own topic he will need a certain power like the Forum Moderator.So,the player would optionally lock other topic and blame it on the Forum Moderator.

Please don't assume things. Its possible that a topic creator can lock his topic. They can only and only lock their own topic. Not others. They won't get moderator rights.

Basically, right now everyone has to post on a lock request and teddy then locks it. Its a unnecessary burden on moderators. If the sale is done people will lock the topics. Most of them. Some will just leave it, so moderators can deal with that.

I understand that not everyone is gonna lock, some will forget but we still got moderators.

When most players will lock their own topic, its just going to help the moderators and ease the burden on them. Plus, moderators don't always lock the topics these days. I've only seen Teddy lock the ones that were requested.

There are lots of unlocked topics out there and its confusing. I need to ask players whether the property is still for sale or not.

I agree with your point.But also notice that Argonath Community is recruiting Forum Moderators.They will recruit 2 conserning Buying/Selling.

I also agree that Teddy do have a lot of works,scripting,RS5,here,IRL..But they gave him this position as they know his capacity.He also knows that he can manage his part of the forum.

What's wrong in giving 3 moderators a helping hand ?
Around 50-60% of topics will get locked by people once they've sold the items.

So moderators can do the job more effectively.

Board Moderators wouldn't lose their job so long as they keep doing things exactly the way they did before. Granting this right would only make their job easier, if anything. If they fail to do their jobs, then that would be on them, not regular users.
