when a player enters the server,
the most common first message on the screen is         Welcome to "server" please Login, Syntax: blah blah

the idea is to flood the screen with something better, and confine the welcome note to chat log
the message could be funny, inspiring, encouraging etc.

ArgonathRPG players can type a few lines in this topic, and the developers put them in some kinda loop, so that a different message displays everyday

Eg...  "Role-Play to the Extent you can, or get a Ban"
         ...........i havent thought of a good1 at the moment

That statment does not make sense.

imo the welcome message should not be from a selected list of preset messages. It should always be the same. [Welcome to "server" please Login, Syntax: blah blah] may be boring, but it is needed.

However, an other option you may consider is this. The main welcome message is the same "Welcome to argo rpg" or w.e but after that, there is one more message. This message could be something like stating a rule or stating a ingame hint, heres an example of some messages:

The part above the *** is only a quick example I came up with, actual one would be different.

I don't think that different welcome message is really needed.

"Welcome to server, please login or register" is enough in my opinion. :trust:

Yea that's what I was thinking first off but then I decide it might work if you make it look good.

But if we can't do it in the welcome message, I think it would be could to try and find somewhere that we could implement this.

There will be info marks if I am right, they contain most of those you listed, I am pretty sure.

So, the idea is implented on them.

I am pretty sure there will be info marks. But if we do have them, they will say one thing for example a one at cop statoin would show how to cop. the "random" hints I think would need a better somewhere other than that :\.
