It's about money. Let's not start a discussion here. I bet I earned more in one year than you did in two years. Anyways, my last post about you being money hungry.

During the Open Beta we will decide what will happen with the possessions from RS4, before that do not expect or ask any binding statement from the developers, managers, leaders or owners.

As for your money, cars, houses and any other things remember one thing.
Any possesions on Argonath are forbidden to trade with real world posessions or money. This because they do NOT represent any real world value but are only valid within the game. There for whatever you have had, have now or will have in the future is worth exactly nothing.

Money, houses, businesses, cars and whatever else you may have as virtual things listed in your account  or that you make up to be having are imaginary, and are only meant to help in your roleplay.

Further more, a lot of veteran players currently feel that they lack challenge. They have some millions of everything, and there for lose the creativity they had when they built up their account. Many of them come in only a short time to keep their useless posessions without actually participating. This way not only do they really contribute to the server, but also they keep some good properties from newer and more active players.

If there will be a reset, it will be to make these old players decide. Either they will become once again active to show their skills and play, or they may decide not to return as there is nothing to keep occupied from others. Sure the times they invested will be gone, but on the other hand the challenge and interest was already lacking meaning the gameplay suffered. If they decide to move out, it will give the new generation a chance to develop and reach the status they had. However with one difference. We are trying to keep the challenge in RS5 larger and more constant, meaning that boredom will not strike as easy. If you were addicted in RS4, expect to be more addicted by RS5. If you lost the addiction in RS4 due to boredom, think very good about if you can once again miss the time as RS5 will captivate you even longer.

Regardless of a reset, players should not expect that they can spend 5 minutes a month and keep all of their virtual worthless possessions. You have been warned.

Do not roleplay a veteran on discord, be a veteran in game.

This is fair, because half of the old players on this server are rich and they barely come online .!

If you spent all that time gaining money, having fun and you still think it was time "wasted", you need to look at how you're playing the game...

You are 100% right Gandalf,
I can't wait for RS5, i don't care if we all have to start over again or not..
It's all about fun and friendship.
I don't care about the money.. I am always on cop duty, i don't need a car or house.
I just want some RP, fun and i want to patrol with other Officers  :cop:

I can see where it's "fair" to remove the things from certain players who come once every three months just to save their business, house, account, cash or whatever, but what isn't fair is removing everything from even those active players/groups who have dedicated a lot of time in the server to accomplish what they had. Gvardia and Corleone, for example, are long standing groups who had to work for what they had today over SEVERAL years. Both of them, as well as other groups and current official groups were also in the position like these new players where they "didn't have a chance" to get an Ammu-Nation or whatever. Did that stop them from accomplishing their goals? No. That is why those groups are the best groups on the server, the most dedicated ones and that keep this server mainly alive and bring activity to it. Challenge and interest is never gone, because on Argonath, there's always challenge; whether it is to buy a new house, a new car, accomplish a new rank in your group etc.. Just because you have a nice house, three cars, business and millions doesn't mean you have "nothing to do".

I will speak for Gvardia here - we have certain projects which are always active and give us and others things to do, and this doesn't have an effect with properties and money. Properties and money is the empire that was built throughout the years, and it shows our power, wealth and what not.

We've given years of dedication to the server and our groups, and in the end, we're getting most of it taken away because there are some moaners who "can't get what they want". Even those current millionaires in-game can't get something they want! You think some rich players wouldn't want to get Market Ammu-Nation or Willowfield Ammu-Nation despite the fact that they are rich? Of course they do, but some things on the server are limited, and we must take the right approach when it comes to accomplishing something.

I remember a topic a few months back where players were moaning about how "Gvardia has this many Ammu-Nations" and how "Corleone has this" and the fact that "they also want one of those Ammus". The chance ALWAYS come to get a property; I've recently bought an Ammu-Nation which was on sale for a month, so who's fault is that those that are moaning don't take the opportunities that come to them?

I personally am not agreeing with a reset, at least not on those people that dedicated too much, and have had a huge impact on the server. I don't want to speak before time, but there is a high chance that I will no longer player on the server if a reset is to take place. I've spent far too much time on the server for everything to just be taken away in the end.

usually I don't read texts long like this..but I read yours..and I already know a number of people who left argonath..when they heard there will be a complete restart..and I bet argonath would lose lots of players if it actually happens ..so disagree
