yeah what is up with that? when i was in rome, i seen all different kinds of police in different uniforms, my dad tryed explaining it to me but i couldnt understand it well..

"Guardia Forestale" (Forest guards)

Because 1 police couldn't handle all the crimes (crime rates recently increased of 50-100%) and you would never see a Forest Guard involved in a mafia investigation...neither a state police officer saving a horse  .

And the financial guard makes sure everyone pay the taxes (and it makes it very bad   :conf:)

And in origin (1850-1880) the Carabinieri Corp was the Army of the Reign of Sardinia, they were always in the first line during the Italian indipendence wars...same as the Financial Guard.

Not really...the mafia has no reasons to bribe the provincial police... they may bribe the state police, the financial guard, the carabinieri corp... but obviously they can't bribe AN ENTIRE group  :conf:
