it is just like a normal hyperlink.

Ok I also found out glow effect doesnt work in firefox :\

As far as I know, normal forums doesn't support flash. Thats why we gotta use animated .gif files..
If we could get flash on the forum, you can be sure my signature would be like a whole animation

Flash support is not standard on forum, as it uses a lot of resources (and this is not the fastest anyway).
Also too much animations can make a page look really bad.
