It's not hard to attack just choose the easiest village.

I learned some tactics by watching replays of my village being destroyed.

I use mainly BlueStacks on PC, as I switch phone firmware quite often, most of the time is spent on Android 2.3 (but Clash of Clans runs only on 4.0 and higher).
