I see what you did there, Zaila and you got me word for word.
Take the stage RS4 had reached then and forget the beginning. People were satisfied and enjoying it. That is the bottom line. Like I said, a reset and minor updates could have made it. If players can't see the bugs, then who cares about them? Indirectly, you are actually saying that irrelevant bugs brought RS5. I guess in your mind, it would be more appropriate to switch car because of a flat tire instead of simply changing the tire. Same logic.
You want to discuss RS4 VS. RS5? You are looking for a discussion which is a matter of personal taste then. I say a protein shake tastes better than soda while others think the opposite. Scratch that. Let's keep it game-related. Search for.. Hmm.. Crysis VS. FarCry on Google. You'll find the same result as you have looking on here: It is a matter of personal opinion where nobody is right. You can keep on discussing. And this endless discussion will continue even if this topic gets shut down, which I am sure it will eventually.

If you do the crime, you gotta do the time.

Besides, RS3 was even more broke and buggy than RS5 when it was released. If i remember correctly, RS3 had to be completly rewritten as it was so unstable as it was unplayable? Or was that RS2?
Just to make it clear:
RS1: Was built with the PEN1 script as example, I rewrote about 70%$ to fit it within our ideas and to learn how scripting works.
RS2: Built from scratch for the SA:MP 0.2 release. Unfortunately it was too 'heavy' and advanced for the SA:MP release and could not hold more than 20 players, the amount that beta tested.
RS3: Rewritten and tuned down version of RS2. I learned how to reduce script size and manage memory. In the end it contained 90% of RS2 with only 60% of the script size and using 40% of the RS2 memory.
RS4: Was actually equal to RS3, however instead of making one large script I separated it in to filterscripts, making it possible for multiple scripters to work on the project.
RS4.1: Debugged version of RS4, overhauled by CFBASI and David_Omid mainly. Once they stopped, Conroy and Gimli did the maintenance and added functionality.

RS4.1 has the issue of an outdated file system that places limits on many things. It is based on the system designed for RS3, and if done today I would not make it the same.
Due to its design it is prone to script lag, making it impossible for more as 200 players. However for a single game mode to survive for 6 years is pretty unique, even if we expected to have it replaced about 1 year earlier.

RS5 has a new database design made by UML standards. As a result the database design is ahead of current SA:MP limitations and is built to last. That means we do not look at any type of major reset for the coming 5 to 10 years.

The scripters will open a roadmap for RS5 showing what features are worked on and will be added later on. As for player support, ARUN will be the place to put your ideas forward and see if there is majority support.

It is a matter of personal opinion where nobody is right
You're right there. However, what i can do is trying to provide arguments of why we have done things the way we have done. You as a player see it from one side, me as a developer is seeing it from the other side. What doesn't make sense for you makes sense for me. You are argumenting for your side, i'm argumenting from my side. We're 2 different humans after all.

And this endless discussion will continue even if this topic gets shut down, which I am sure it will eventually.
We're not locking this topic down as there is no reason to. There's nothing wrong with having a discussion like this. The problems comes when forum users is starting to personally attack other forum users or flame other forum users but then other measures can be taken to avoid it.

All PMs saying "Look at my unban request!!11" will be ignored.

In need of assistance? Please send me a forum PM instead of contacting me ingame. Whenever i am ingame, i'm most likely busy with something else which means i wont be able to help you there and then.

What the f**k?

Many scripters and developers sacrificed easily over hundreds of hours from their own time to create something new and unique once again for kids like you and this is the way you thank for that? If I am right, you were able to bring out your ideas, suggestions and improvements on the ideas section for many years. Now, after the release, you open up your mouth saying everything sucks and gamemode 4.1 should be back?

Honestly, is there absolutely any perception going on in your head?

Such a shame that people like you are the majority of this community.
Yeah, really what is criticism. Fuck everyone who thinks bad about the script even though they're one of many thousands and are not required to like the server fully.

You know you're wrong if you hide behind your invisible powers you never had in real life. Those who watch me will entirely understand.

Why do I do what I do? Because I know you won't stand someone opposing you. And because you know you can't prove me I'm wrong.

So by reading the title you are now using, it's apparent that you know of many things that were better on RS4 compared to RS5.
Now of course it would be foolish to ask you to list the so called 10 000 reasons so I will only ask you to list 100 reasons as to why RS4 is supposedly so much better.
Please, i want to hear the 10000 reasons of why RS4 is better.

Yeah, lets keep to using logical fallacies and ripping words off context.

This entire topic is pathetic in both sides.

Lets get back on topic. I'm still waiting on the list of how RS4 is better than RS5 in 10000 ways.

The day the list appears and every single reason is reasonable I will shit in my hands and clap 10000 times.

Anyway I'm very interested in this road map because what we currently see as RS5 I believe is just the beginning or the tip of the ice berg. On the release day I could see that there is so much more that can be done with the script. So the future is very interesting.

RS5 has great script than RS4, I do not know why da hell people don't like RS5 or it is all about the money?

As someone previously posted.. RS5 and RS4 is like a bust tyre in which the developers chose to select a new car rather than changing the tyre. The new car is now non-refundable. Wait till RS5 is stable and everyone adapts to the change. I guarantee in a few months everyone is going to non-stop compliment the developers for offering us a fresh script update.

Let everyone leave, it shows they were here for the money. Money can be earned again, if anything I believe the process is quicker due to more opportunities for us in RS5. I had over $2m and I frankly don't give a shit that its gone. Many people left Argonath due to the significant change. People come and go, don't use that as an excuse to as a form of persuasion to bring back RS4.

Heres to the future of Argonath :weed:

The most complained thing about RS5 by players are the bugs. They already understood that the money it's gone.

The person who wrote this has a very good point. To be bold Rs5 lacks charm, lacks that charisma.
It's a fact that the servers popularity has fallen drastically and that didn't happen for no reason.
If we got to vote which server we would get up and running i have no doubts in my mind Rs4 would win.

But I suppose our oppionons wont matter.

Re4.1 will never come back. Why not just invent ideas for re5 and requesting bad scripts to be removed?.
