I need some help. Recently I've started playing IVMP on my laggiest shitty pc (gonna buy new one soon on holiday), and I wanna know why is it crashing so much? I mean, I get like 5-25 fps at times, various...

1GB Ram
1GB Graphics (5-6 years old, very bad)
CPU 2.8GHz very stupid gonna buy new

Any updates that can fix my crashing after my character dies?... Pls help, ty.

It's dead, whether you like it or not.

We need some REALLY BIG CHANGES.

Are you perhaps using XP os? If you are, then thats probaby where the problem lays.

Yes, I remember the character death takes to crashes using XP.

However you should consider yourself lucky if you can run IV with that configuration :)

Only way to fix it - nuke your XP, get a shiny 7.

Pain makes you stronger. Tears make you braver. Heartbreak makes you wiser. And vodka makes you not remember any of that crap.

I guess you won't be able to play on high without lag. Even high end PCs might lag from time to time..

The only way to fix that crash is getting rid of XP.

Well the first two things I feel like telling you are:

Will you use the PC? I mean: are you upgrading just to play IV or for gaming in general?

Use your budget with consciousness: don't buy a 500$ CPU and then 100$ graphics card :D if the budget is a bit limited keep using moderation and you'll get something good in any case.

well i plan on to use it for gaming overall, dayz, gta sa, gta iv (gta v when it comes out on pc), a bit high end would be nice for a change... different countries = different values and prices, i think for me here its kinda cheap, parts are very cheap tbh...

One thing I do know is that the AMD Radeon HD6670 is definetly, hands down THE best choice for a GPU if you are on a budget. No doubt.
If I were you I would get a low end i5 for a CPU, other than that, go for an AMD CPU of a similar spec.
I would suggest getting a 64 bit Windows 7 so that you can use more than 3GB of RAM.
Then again, you really dont need any more than 4 gigs of RAM if you are building a budget gaming PC, I run IV on mostly high and very high settings and only have 2GB.

If you follow all my guidelines you can build a more than decent gaming PC for something like 600$, including all the other bits.

GTA IV wont run properly when you run on a PC from the 1980s -_- JK

Im running GTA IV on an Acer PC with Core i5 with Nvidia GEForce and 4GBs of RAM
Well, you should try to find an intel processor capable of games with hi graphics. And a good amount of RAM.It'll still lag(Like mine) But the crashes when you die are less likely

A typical guy....Which has too many jobs!!!!
