RIP to all those who died as violence to counter whatever the Russian government is doing (no matter how immoral) is never the right road to follow. I'm now just concerned that Putin will use this incident to justify abuses against his own citizens to further degrade their human rights.

May all rest in peace

He's already abusing several things but I guess Russians are blind to it or just used to Putin. Someone has bombed our city, we must further restrict the rights of our citizens, bringing more violence onto the streets.

what do putin think about gays?
Don't even go there. It's very reminiscent of what Hitler did to the Jews...

And this is where you're wrong: the majority of Russians support Putin in whatever he does and not only they're aware of his "abuse," they want him to do it, want him to continue.

I am not sure whether Hitler had support of the majority when it comes to Holocaust; here, it's pretty clear that most hate gays and don't even consider them to be humans.

I doubt, however, that there will be concentration camps for gays in Russia. While Putin may be able to find some way to pull that off, the hatred for gays is used as a cover to pass laws which will help bring back censorship.

There are lots of people—most of them born in the USSR—dreaming about the return of the crumbling Soviet gerontocracy, and lots of people who just don't care about what's happening in their own country. In reality, the USSR never fell apart; it's just it's much weaker today than Russians want it to be.

Putin is pretty much the embodiment of the beliefs of an average Russian. People started worshipping him even before all the propaganda was properly launched. He is a dictator, yeah; unfortunately, people are fascinated with that.

That said, Putin doesn't actually need to use such incidents any more; he got what he wanted long ago. It's much more likely that someone sent him a message this way.

The only reason Sweden even have a defense budget is because of Russia. Now, when Russia have for the past months been more aggressive on the Baltic countries, the government of Sweden have deiced to put more money and effort in the military. We're also on the way to join NATO. They say that Sweden are member of NATO before 2020.

Close down the federation and free those countries. Step down Russia.

More fool them. Russia is descending into corruption and chaos with Putin at the helm.

In all seriousness, if Russia is descending into chaos and corruption under Putin, then where are all the mass anti-establishment demonstrations? (someone please enlighten me as I am not too updated on Russian news)

The most important part is interacting with others and meeting people from around the world.

Russia wouldn't touch Sweden even if it didn't have a military, Europe and it's allies wouldn't let it happen.
