Stunt 4.0
We're pleased to announce that we are ready to release Stunt 4.0 Open Beta.
The server will be released on Saturday, XXth January 2014 at XX:00 (CET).
What does this mean for you?It means that your accounts will be reset.
This is because we've significantly improved the user management as well as the security of the users.
This also means that players get to test the features and commands. Testing in a big group offers more results than testing in a small group!
What is new?We've completely revamped the way the system works.
- We no longer require restarts to apply updates. This means that bugs can be resolved almost immediatly without you guys even noticing it (Exception of events and races).
- The server should feel more responsive. We also expect less desynchronisations to happen to players when the script lags (not ISP related)!
- A new administration script has been made in order to fix all issues with SES3's. It is more reliable and very accurate with data and other features.
- More control on visuals. Textdraws, speedo and features can be either enabled or disabled.
- Dialogs have been added to make it easier to change the settings and more. You no longer have to remember a lot of commands!
- New object editor: If you want to try out something, our mappers are able to make in game changes to the existing maps or even add completely new maps
- Improved the way event members are able to host events. Kicking or banning annoying players, assign configurations to events and much more!
- Special worlds. We've added special interactions with certain worlds. World 0 (default) is the only world that contains objects. World 1 is available for flying lessons while world 2 is available for movie makers. We plan to add more interactions in the future!
- Hidden and bugged objects have been removed from the maps. If you find one, inform us as soon as possible.
What is planned?- New training system: Room for the groups of both ArgonathRPG and Paruni to test and train their abilities. Create your own group, invite members, give your team certain weapons, assign targets and much more
- New minigames - Give players some entertainment if they are on the server alone!
- Vehicle modification menu available everywhere. /tf, /waa, /llc are still available though
The development team has spent time improving the general flow of the server, reducing the lag there is in SES3, trying to give a whole new thought process to gameplay. Especially user friendliness.
I'd like to thank everyone who has contribuated to the server and ideas that may have been used to help develop the server.
