Three years ago, on a good rig that I had back then (for 2011 at least lol)
This is no eye-finity or any nvidia surround, it was an Q9400, 4GB, one SINGLE Gigabyte HD4870 512mb.. How?
It was possible to do by downloading a modified d3d9x (or sort called, I can't recall) dll file, which would allow you to use multiple monitors.. The mod is called SoftTH, and it's an cheap way to a fakish eyefinity if you have more than just 1 monitor.
But! If you go dual-screen gaming with SAME SIZE - same monitors, things can go wrong because the pointer (if the game is FPS like) will be in the seperation of the screen, thus useless. So on my setup back then I had a 20' with 17', and I had pointer on the left screen without annoying me in the middle. For those who can use BOTH Graphics card and motherboard together at the same time, it will also work. (Note: Having both motherboard and graphics card enabled was later disabled on newest technology motherboards..)
Very nice setup but as MB Mentioned poor speakers is a minus!
