I don't believe in "humane" ways of killing as there is none in my eyes. For me, it's about making sure they feel the least amount of pain before their consciousness is taken away.

Not everyone can resort to electric shock whenever they feel the need to. There are people who might need to slaughter the animal out in the middle of nowhere, and some who just maybe can't afford the equipment. A sharp knife is easier to obtain.

Then I assume you have been an animal tazed in the head and died instantly not feeling anything since you seem to know that they don't feel anything. Don't define the feelings of a being other than yourself, I don't think you are able to feel exactly what they feel.
