Your account has been activated. In the future, I would recommend that you explain what your issue is when sending me a Skype message, (if I don't reply back). I'm at work quite often, and I cannot always keep up with the demand of people wanting to talk to me. Saying "hi" multiple times doesn't let me know that there is something wrong that needs immediate attention.
As for the issue itself, yes, it is the email servers at fault. They have been having intermittent issues for unknown reasons the last few months.

The ARFD Forums has had some errors with the American Webserver if I am correct in regards to presuming that most registered users are spam bots. If you would post your username here and we'll take care of the rest. I'll post back when your account should be activated.

That is a completely separate system, which very rarely accidentally flags legitimate users. (99% of the cases have been users that chose generic names also commonly used by spambots. The rarer 1% was when their email address was flagged because they spammed someone's site/forum maliciously, and were reported for it). This was not the issue here.
For anyone who has this problem later on down the road, please contact me with an explanation immediately, and I'll look into it.
