I am posting this on behalf of Rei_Soprano, as he cannot connect to any websites, although his SA:MP functions normally.

May I also request that those who know him or come across him ingame tell him of future replies to this topic, in case I cannot.

Ask him if he can modify his DNS servers for his internet connection (adapter settings, then configure IPv4) to 8.8.8.8 (primary) and 8.8.4.4 (secondary). That will rule out faulty DNS servers in either his router/modem or his ISP. Also ask him his OS, OS version, browser type and version, country and ISP.

It sounds like malware may have changed his internet connection settings. Also, Skype will not work when DNS is down for him, as it utilizes port 80 to connect to the Microsoft servers like a web browser would to a website. (Who the **** knows why the original Skype development team decided to do that, but it wasn't a great idea by any means).

I was able to finally contact him ingame and give him the link. Thanks guys.

But apparently, the same result. The problem seems to not be with his own DNS settings, but with the ISP itself, as he said mechanics will be coming over from their office within the next 5 days.

Still not ruling out the possibility of malware though, so I'd advise him to get a full scan too.

Make sure he runs full system scans with both Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware software. Each one cannot completely detect and remove the other, regardless of what any company may advertise. (Norton Internet Security 2005 Anti-Spyware Edition proved this corporate idiocy years ago).
