Cops invisible again?

ARPD is now famous for making a lot of plans. But people are given rights 'temporary' for event as training programs are not completed.

That was my right of decision to be made, since Kaltsu put me in Charge of ARPD that night, You know how i feel? when someone gives me NO instructions or any warning BEFORE the event, i was called by kaltsu, saying that i needed to solve the Event and that i am in Charge, thats all he told me, I had no possible ARPD members online, I needed to improvise, so thats what i did, and it was a success.

im not going to put some Cadets which i dont know, in a nice event. I took cops i knew that did a good job, since now m1k3 and CBFASI, Clooak and Jnn Have a better chance of being promoted to officer, Because they proved to be a good team that night. So it wasnt bad at all..

My Opinion: I think that they should either keep Cops and Civillians Both Visible or both Invisible, if they are both invisible then i think that Great Roleplay would happen...

Thats the same as Shitfather server - We have our own scripts. plus i experienced that already, its really hard to find people that way

In my opinion, best way to do it would be cops and suspects, both invisible, if that's possible.

As MrMe said, it's annoying that suspects see "oh, a cop coming few blocks away, time to go."
I don't like it either how cops can see "oh, a suspect few blocks away, I'll go to him."

People seeing each other on map on chases for example destroys the idea of the chase. You just go after suspect untill other one of you loses car or something like that. That's the reason I don't use map when playing as a cop.


About ARPD, in my opinion you guys should give ARPD some time to develope aswell. Now that new scripts are out and all new cop stuff is added, for example /cuff - they can actually start with the training program. Atleast I don't want to see any half-assed ARPD, so I'll gladly give them some time to develope.


And, about the "temporary ARPD officer" thing on the event few days ago. Me and few other players were set temporary to ARPD level because there weren't that many official ARPD officers online that time. Also, some of those who were online, didn't want to come as ARPD officers or were busy, so I don't see what's the problem on that if captain himself knows that those players he selected are capable of doing copwork on the event. ARPD was also requested to come and watch over the event so I guess it's better to have few non-official officers as a bonus instead of just having 2 official ARPD guys there.

In fact, us four are almost ARPD officers, but since we haven't done the official training program which isn't ready yet, we aren't official officers. But, we have played a lot with ARPD guys ingame and they believe that we can handle having ARPD rights on a event, so there's no problem about that.

People insist on having a fuel system which is like real life and a liability so why not just make everyone invisible on the map which is like real life and would be better for RP. It would also make people drive better because they wouldn't know what to expect at for example, the next corner they turn.

Cops should be able to see criminals still and should show up as orange on the map.

Ehh, i like the RP they have, but, my problem is the asshole Admins there, i saw someone that joined 1st day, and 20 mins later get banned for driving an illegal car... Stupid? yup...

i hate Metagaming & Powergaming, but, there is hardly anything anyone can do abuot that.
Just, try to explain that you cant do certain things, and explain what powergaming is.

I heard SUCH SHIT a lot... Make gates - we ll more roleplay, make skins will be more roleplay, make female skin we ll be more roleplay... I am on multiplayer of GTA over 3 years... And we were roleplaying as RL WITHOUT any features and that was a REAL fun...

I can repeat: COPS DO NOT REFUEL... And all the time I was coming as cop - all police cars were out of fuel... The fuel text is for all - use it, check it... Do you see an annoying big text on your car window "GO REFUEL MOTHEFUCKA!"? No...
The same in game - the red light - low fuel... And it is NOT a fault of script that cops do not refuel, that standard reports on cops - abuse...

I do not talk even about carjacking cops, rammers and abusive the suspect commands...

You all are sitting in Los Santos... Where are cops - there are crimes... It is already clear... San Fierro is empty, Las Venturas is empty... Why then we use all map and developing all SA stuff? Lets all like idiots sit in LS and be happy that all are invisible with the cool roleplay without refueling cars, picking up lost cops on the roads, killing for being rammed by cops... Turn to the left to the right - lost a suspect... Where the fuck he went? Have no idea... Cos suspect will also be invisible on the map...

SF empty... well I am often there patrolling, but at the moment the disconnects that happen bring me back as a civvy meaning I have to make my way back to pd just to get on duty again, also teh transport, often a helo is left behind so I have to make my way back to it afterwards.

As for fueling cars..  its why I have so little money (not even 4k!), thanks to the work done on scripts my money does not go down quite so quick, but yep I get really p***ed off not only with cars left empty but now also left all over the place.  (not sure how long the respawn is now).

I will admit however that there are many many many bad cops out there, some who rp well but if they did that in my police force IA would have their guts.  I also see many cops forcing individuals to carry out crimes, in one form or another such as naggin etc to make them raise gun and then wham they suspected....

And yes even cops get carjacked by cops... etc.

I try to rp within the spirit of the game but it only works if others do the same.

When I first started samp I tried another server, soon found this one and have stuck to it as I see the most potential, the ARPD is going to take time, mostly down to individuals having other lives outside of Argonath.

Satnights upgrade was an interesting insight, and when the even was over I had not be downgraded but tried my best not to abuse the extras I temporarily had..  (Not sure if I did, if so was unintentional).

The visiable /invisable thing... was intersting when I realised cadets only had this feature.  Was involved in a failed rp of a kidnapping (the victim used a game crash to escape), and one thing was having to keep an eye out for the cops, one did well and get outside the house without us noticing for a short period but he then stayed 'observing' and not doing anything else (well actually he was communicating to other cops as I later found out.) 

I see it more a feature that might.. and yes only a might, be applicable in the future when ARPD is more evolved, but at the moment its far from it.

The lack of complaints about it says alot, and I was getting used to watching my rear view when off-duty just inc as a cop was going to come up (paranioa!!).

Radar invisiability can enhance RP but only if the users RP right... and there is too little of that.
